Everyone stood up the entire match at Walsall in the playoffs and there was no trouble as far as I could see. It made for a better atmosphere. When is it alright and when is it not alright?
Lads. It's simple. Pay some respect to them behind you wot can't see if you stand up. I pay to watch our team and not your arse crack.
Not being funny or owt fella, but you thought of moving? I know, I know, why should you? Well like you say its being going on for years, in fact it's been the most vociferous part of the ground for . . . well, forever. You always have had more people standing in this area, you always will. And lets be honest Oakwell would be a bit of a morgue without these lads. I moved out of the ponty after about 10 years in 2006. Best thing I did.
There in lies the problem, even when its sit where you want. The sit downers still go to the back and complain people infront are standing, its a no win situation. Go back to all standing grounds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have thought about moving, but Ive had the same seat for 20 years and made friends of the people around me. And it isnt the singers its people in the lower part of the block. Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
Probably the same kno?head that did the same to me ar wembley as he pushed his kid out into the aisle which was jam packed after our win in the jpt. Brilliant aren't they? ????
Not just our fans or any other club's fans for that matter, the world (and particularly our country) is full of such intolerant and ignorant people. The guy behind you probably thought you were an arsehole but being ignorant and intolerant only had one way to deal with you which was to shout at you and threaten you.
Re: Not just our fans Exactly mate, a simple 'would you mind sitting down please?' would have sufficed and there'd have been no issues, instead he felt the need to tell me he was going to knock me out which I didn't really appreciate.
Re: Not just our fans Wellsie. were you on row R, next to the gangway, towards the halfway line (of the away supporters' area)?
Re: Not just our fans I was in block V1, and everyone was standing up in front of me, so much so that I missed Ipswich's first goal.
Why would standing up make it a far better atmosphere? - most people don't want to stand up and some can't, so just think of others.
Re: Not just our fans Ah but in that case maybe lots were coming back with their half time drinks and pies and hadn't got round to sitting down again yet. I mean, you get to your seat, you have a chat and a laugh, you try to lower it with a drink in one hand and a pie in the other. You have another laugh about that. Eventually you manage to manoeuvre the pesky bit of plastic down so you can sit on it. You do this slowly, obviously. What's the problem? They can all get up on the rows behind me as well if they want to watch the match....can't they? What's the matter with people these days...... Author's note: heavy irony in this post
