Centre back - Kevin Long would be a good option. If not someone of similar experience. Utility fullback - Still not convinced we're adequate in the fullback positions. White is injury prone. Bree is injury prone. I think we could do with a fullback who is a defender first and an attacker second. I like having attacking fullback but it's always nice to have one in the Bobby or Williams mould who can slot in and just defend. I think going with only Bree and Yiadom at RB until January is a risk. Disciplined centre midfielder - Not a defensive midifielder. One in the Brownhill mould. Makes the game look easy by always being in the right position. I love Scowen - but as daft as it sounds sometimes you can work too hard. Chasing after balls when it isn't always necessary. Sometimes we'll need Scowens energy, in other games we'll need more discipline. When lining up against other teams who play 4-4-2 I'm not sure Scowen is the man we need. I think he's more the man to help combat a 4-5-1. Winger - Still think we could do with another winger in who understands the defensive game. Hopefully Lloyd. Striker - Pacey striker required who can hold the ball well. A carbon copy of Ashley Fletcher would do.
They're different players. This isn't about who's the better player. It's about what I think the squad requires. And regarding Brownhill he's only 20 years old, has achieved 2 promotions and shown he's a very good centre midfielder in League One so you should have more respect.
