    We know we won't just get 15% of 47.5m to blow on players. To be honest Patrick would be well within his rights to pocket the lot. It's just nice for us to get a bit of a windfall from a player for once. Also massively proud of the lad and can't wait to see him on the world stage.

    I hope after Mr Cryne takes anything he feels he wants to that we spend anything extra on Oakwell and building for the future rather than chasing short term gains though a central midfielder would be smashing.

    Is the club solvent though? Have to have profit reserves to be able to pay a dividend.

    I suspect it will sit in bank or be used to reduce any secured debts. I noted last accounts that the overdraft was very close to the agreed limit, so eliminating that and having increased liquidity seem a useful start.

    Of course we don't know what the exact clause is or when it would contractually be due or in how many instalments.

    Pay a dividend to who? As far as I'm aware Patrick Cryne is the sole shareholder of the football club. The ground, academy land etc. is held in trust with the council.
