How I'd use it: 3 million to keep the academy going for the next 3 years. Not sure how much it would cost, but spruce up Oakwell a bit. Give the West Stand some TLC & brighten up the Ponty concourse. Maybe just add that extra 100k-300k to secure the signing of a top high in demand player. Save the rest for a rainy day.
Pre season friendly next summer in Magaluf and it pays for some chartered free travel flights for anyone who wants to go and watch.
Repay PC if he wants any (doubt that he does). Buy the ground back from the council. It's safer in PC's hands than a council under enormous pressure to cut front line services and by doing so secure the future of the club. Give the rest to local charities and really make a difference to the lives of people in this town. £7 million+ is way too much to spend on football. Obscene really when we have folk using food banks.
Only one thing worse than other clubs knowing how much money we have is the fans knowing how much money we have. Before you know it we will be building new stands, buying more players, partying, improving our facilities, paying bigger wages, snorting coke and given BFC track record, that would then only give us 6.5M left in the kitty
To make amends all holders of a Colchester ticket should have an all expenses paid evening with two northern angels of their choice. Failure to do this will be just further evidence how little the club thinks of its fans.
Ahhhhhh thats the way to push the club forward, give what little dosh we have to charities... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
