There's probably a sell on fee that we would have to pay Brentford to consider. Obviously we don't know for sure but I'd be surprised if they weren't due a cut
Not surprised. He had a face like a smacked arse on open day. And I hear he doesn't like the north and he's missus still lives down south.
I was told 2 months ago that Alfie was on his way to Leeds, the person who told me this I have known for years and his source was an academy coach who he travelled to Wembley with. I asked why would he want to go to a basket case club like that? The reply was that his agent could get him a lot more money than what we can pay him. I said the way that club is structured don't own the ground, training ground , owner constantly in court , FA and EFL bans the players could find themselves without wages due to administration anytime, the reply was players listen to their agents!
Hes had a season at league 2 and a season at league 1 i cant see many people paying over 1.5 million for him
If signing for more money for a bigger club makes you a fame hungry ****** I assume you think that of every single one of our own summer signings?
If Alfie wants to move then fair enough. Let's price him correctly though. He's young and made drastic strides in his development last season. I can honestly only see him getting better and better so £4m at the very least. Let's just think about the cash that had been thrown around at Championship players over the past 2 months. If he does go then let's hope that we have a contingency plan.
That would work if people were able to see the bigger picture and treat it as such, sadly all it has achieved are accusations of being disinterested and name calling. If Alfie read this thread maybe he should consider leaving. We dont deserve him.
Completely agree. Some of our fans are kidding themselves. Grant Hanley's just gone for £5 to Newcastle & that's after years of proving himself at this level & caps for Scotland. To think Mawson would go for something similar is very optimistic
£6m plus a 20% sell on is minimum. Harry McGuire went for £3.5m who was a league one defender who'd never done owt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lewin Nyatanga won lots of caps for Wales and had Premiership and championship experience. Grant Hanley is a decent player, but doubt he has as much potential as Mawson. Can see Mawson going further. Besides, **** it, he's our player. We decide what he's worth. I would def sell him to Bristol if they offered the right cash. Poisoned Dwarf of a manager or not. It's all about coin.
Rumour down here that he's trying to force a move to us but your board don't want to do business with us. To those saying £2m, we have offered A LOT more than that!
Interesting... We'll see if his face still looks like a slapped arse tomorrow... To be honest, I'd rather hang onto Robbo than Alfie, especially in this league. Alfie's a good player, but the fashion for 'ball playing' centre backs is the only thing that makes him more valuable. It's the basic stuff that Alfie seems to struggle with at times. If hes not happy here, we should let him go while his stock is still relatively high.
I would question the mental state of any of our players from this time last year if they wanted to play for Johnson again. everyone here eas delighted to see the back of him
