.... with the lack of excitement, enthusiasm and encouragement for our players.

Only a few months ago, tomorrow's fixture, and being in the Championship was just a pipe dream.

This season will bring more defeats than last year, and will in all probability be tough. Just seems that some folks have written us off before we've kicked a ball at home, in the league.

If we as fans can't be up for the first game back, then what's the point of all the Wembley jubilation? This is what we wanted, it's here, let's get behind them.

People have taken the Northampton result to heart. We were terrific in the main against a quality Ipswich team so don't get the negativity.

    Strange.

I'm not his biggest fan. Never have been. But I can't see a reason to point a finger at him for quite a while now....

Not solely Patrick crane but him and the decision makers at oakwell have eroded a lot of good feeling away with their ticket policy, having no replica kits and then the scoreboard on top of that. The feeling shifts very quickly from the euphoria of promotion to a feeling of being treated like a cash cow and then a reminder that in a lot of ways we truly are amateur. That translates then to questioning our 'right' or ability to be in this league and it's a shame because the players have done nothing wrong. I believe we definitely have a right to be in this league on merit and shouldn't be scared of anyone in it.

    Yeah OK. Not 100%.

What I am meaning is the product on the pitch.

That is my main and foremost concern.

The whole experience yes I can agree. But for years we had a product on the pitch that was at odds with everything we wanted. We got that in spades last year eventuality. Whilst I appreciate that this could be used as a catalyst to improve other things. The number 1 issue is what we watch.

If what we watch is ***** then whatever surrounds it is immaterial.

    If I'm making sense

Leaving off-pitch issues aside, I sense that the lack of enthusiasm stems from the fact that a large chunk of the promotion side has left and not been properly replaced (imo!). If we still had Fletcher, Isgrove, Brownhill and had added the recent signings, I think people would be buzzing. But that's not the case. The early summer queries over the strength of the squad are gradually becoming actual concerns, with the Northampton game being viewed as the first tentative proof that we need more players. On a personal note, I'm excited about tomorrow, but the lingering disappointment that arguably our stand out performers at Wembley are gone and we are still short of what is needed to compete, is rightly or wrongly tainting the feel good factor for me. But we DO still have good players, the bulk of an excellent promoted side is still here and I look forward to a positive and noisy first home game.

I honestly think that using us having a brand new scoreboard as a reason to detract from the fact that we are back in the Championship at home tomorrow, is picking fault at the highest level.

No it's not West-Ham-esque, but honestly it is so far down the list of priorities it is virtually irrelevant.

I think people need to realise that the gap between clubs coming up from league one, and those coming down from the Premier is possibly the biggest in football. But hey let's concentrate on a scoreboard.

Blame Cryne for what? making the play off game with walsall affordable, for putting free coach travel on to wigan, for pumping his own money in year after year to buy the likes of Mawson, hourhine, Winnall, moncour don't see many others putting their money where there mouth is. Thing is some folk have been waiting months to have a good moan so soon as we get beat twice every players **** and we're more or less relegated. Lose tomorow be a meltdown on here.

Team looks weaker than the one that won the play offs. Not a moan but an observation. We currently look well short. Doesn't mean we can't have fun. But I'd hoped the recruitment **** ups of the past had been sorted. They clearly haven't

To be fair Jimmy there is still time.

As things stand I worry about the squad too. But the panic signing we usually make in November will have to made made in August this year.

Come the last week of August they'll be some very good players such as Kevin Long, Lloyd Isgrove, maybe even Ashley Fletcher who are 3 week into the season and haven't even had a sniff of the bench. As well as a lot of other quality players. I think we'll see atleast 3 signings in the last week and hopefully another 1 before then.

Like I keep saying I know we're expecting to push Izzy through late.

Permanent I was told. He turns 24 before his contract is up so a season loan doesn't suit them unless a fee is paid with a view to permanent.

It's an observation that some people on the BBS are bleating about stuff instead of looking forward to the game we were all hoping for.

I agree with this and it is a little concerning but another couple of quality additions and we'll be ok.

Isgrove would be a fantastic signing. I hope we can get a deal done.

Having returned unexpectedly from holiday in Cornwall because the said Cornwall was full, I was at first excited because I could, after all, attend the Derby match. Then I found out it was £30. I'm not going. It's too much. I'm walking to Huddersfield next week, but I'm not going to the match if it's £30. It's simply too much.

Cryne can't do right for doing wrong when we doing well he gets little if any recognition. When thing start going not so well every man and his dog are on his back calling for his head. Okay when he is putting his own millions in every year, paying the transfer fees of Mawson, winnall hourhine ect putting on free coaches to wigan. People will miss him when he goes I expect they will have some serious moaning to do then when we start free falling down the football league with someone who dosent give a **** about the club at the top.
