He was a joke. Gave a foul when their player won a defensive header from a corner and just clashed with Roberts. Nowt in it.

So inconsistent and it winds me up something rotten.

Gave a free kick when Watkins nudged their defender in the opening minutes (setting the boundary you would've thought) and then after let them get away with pushes and shoves.

I'm also not sure how Butterfield got away without a talking to for his tackle on Bree when already on a yellow.

Appalling but that's the standard we always seem to get.

He did something I've never seen done before when he blew his whistle but then played advantage for us

It really is a shame that we never get a decent referee. They all seem to have the 'Barnsley are a small Club and shouldn't get anything given to them ' attitude.

Is there nowhere it can be brought to those in power's attention????

He was shocking but he gave me a chuckle when we gave us the throw after their lad threw ball onto pitch from behind advertising hoardings!

    Woeful performance from him.

Ince should have been sent off when he blatantly kicked the ball away after cynically fouling out man which he got a yellow for.

However, he was just as dreadful for them. I didn't think butterfield's tackle was a foul as he cleanly won the ball, let alone a yellow. That led to our goal.

It's a coin flip as to whether today's was worse than the one at Ipswich.

Higher division, worse refs, it seems.

Booking Hammill and Watkins both for winning the ball

He booked watkins after complaining that he won the ball which he did. I know you can't argue with the refs no more because of new rules but must be so frustrating for the players when they get a ref like that who didn't want to give us anything.

Best one was when a derby player fouled his own team mate. And got a free kick.

    Brilliant

He booked Buttercup correctly for the clip that led to our goal. But in the second half a crunching tackle happens nowhere near the ball down by the east stand north side and he only gave Derby another yellow card. Both tackles took the player, both missed the ball but the force of the challenge was like a 3-4/10 for Buttercup and like a 7-8/10 more cynical one for the other.

Thought it was worthy of a yellow card. Glad that Watkins calmed down after his jumping on the spot temper tantrum because i'd have not put it past this ref to find something else to book him for. When our second went in he had a good look around at his linos like he was looking for the slightest opportunity to disallow it.
