Got to be pleased wit that haven't you. Well done to the team. I'm going to type about two players though. The first been James Bree. This guys got the potential to be a really good footballer. Today he was up against Butterfield, Ince and forsyth. 3 really talented footballers at this level. I thought he made one mistake all game. He went into a tackle and missed Forsyth but luckily for Bree it didn't turn into anything. Ryan Kent. Today was a Kent type of match. A higher quality match where players got time on the ball but had to do something and that seems to be that hes all about. Against Northampton they closed all the space up and tried to contain. Really pleased for him. An 18 and 19 year old sent the championship stars spinning today. Really pleased for them. Note on a certain Mr Butterfield. I've read all the he was played outwide BS. But why does he run like hes pulling a HGV trailer along. A certain someones quick to jump on anyone at Oakwell with a fitness problem. If I was a Derby fan I would be very annoyed with him.
He did well in the second half Marc but its nothing I wouldn't expect him to do. Martin's the type of player he will do well against
Thought Bree was good but not perfect, let players glide past him way too easy in first half. Second half he was brilliant. Kent also looked a bit too lightweight for me at times and seemed to back out of some challenges. Hopefully that side of his game will develop with games. All in all an excellent team performance and I think if anyone deserves a special mention it's Roberts, Conor and Watkins Sent from my Kestrel using Tapatalk
Great team performance today , kent had a storming game today , every time he got ball he looked dangerous . Great result and well deserved win
He dominated for 90 minutes and had both strikers in his pocket. He won just about everything and didn't make a single mistake. What else is it you'd expect him to do?
They were all immense today HT, it was a great team performance, but if I was to single out just one player, it would ave to be our Captain. absolutely outstanding. They were all at the minimum good today.
If he headed the ball out, ran onto his own header, drifted past 4 men like Messi and smashed a 30 foot worldie.... hemmsie would still say he left his position wide open and could have cost us a goal! The boy Robbo is sensational. Our most important defender this year.
He did well. I'm not one to over praise a player because he came from a non league club ocook or because he's from by village, or area. I look at what he did and it's like normal for him. Some good, some bad. Like I said above, when Martin came on then it's what he does best. Win headers against their target man. Later on in the season when hes up against Gayle will be a big test.
So Bent and Martin weren't a big test then? International footballers who have scored stacks of goals in the top 2 tiers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You don't have to. Everyone else is praising his performances, while you remain fixated on teenagers.
He didn't put a foot wrong all game. The more popular he becomes the less you'll like it. Believe it's called the Hemsiepopular equation. When James Bree and Ryan Kent becomes fans favourites you'll start disliking them too!
I mentioned Martin. Hes a threat but I don't think a big threat to Roberts. It's what he does. Wins headers.
I don't think it's a popular thing, I think it's purely an age thing. Anyone who's young, and especially if they are young and have played for, or had interest shown by, a 'big club' then he loves them no matter what. On the flip side, if a player is over 25, and especially if no 'big clubs' have ever shown an interest then he hates them, again, no matter what.
But you've given Kent big praise for doing what he does? Run at players with pace in attempt to create attacks or score goals. What's the difference? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I mentioned Kent because he was Very good and it went well with the right side link. Also he got a lot of stick the other night and down at Ipswich
I think it should be worn as a badge of honour. Any player who Hemmsie doesn't like is probably a brilliant player who 99% of the fans worship. I would be very worried if I was a player with the Hemmsie seal of approval. Frimpong, Rothwell, Crowley.....
