It's still far too small but it seems we are stuck with it so I notice that the club have realised it's failings and abandoned the team sheet style list. Good move. If it can't do it then don't do it. I also notice that they have changed the advertising on it completely to much bigger logos on a darker background to make them stand out. Another good move. A few suggestions. Make a video that goes with the 'inspirational' commentary played before the players come out. It displays videos so might as well use it. Make a video to go with the theme tune. I'm not sure what video would go with it though, perhaps it's time to commission a totally new piece of music for our theme tune? Dreamy get Jim Johnston on the phone. Use the board to display latest scores occasionally, at least at half time and full time. Display ticket news on the board Buy a bigger one (hi Tyrone)
honestly, i'd forgotten it was even there after about 5 minutes. seems pointless to me. it's only big enough to show the score, and i'm assuming everybody in the ground knows that without looking at a screen. apparently cost 100k. hope to god that's not true.
Completely useless if you sit in the west upper it seems even higher than the old one so you can only see the bottom quarter from where I sit. Anyone behind me will be worse
No way in hell did that cost £100k. It simply can't have. Did anybody feel a sense of irony when a much much bigger scoreboard made its way past the ground on the back of a lorry at full time?
Makes you wonder how clubs like Man Utd and Liverpool get by with a scoreboard half the size of ours ....
How much of the old one could you see? The new one is in exactly the same place. Well almost exactly, it's set in the same framework but protrudes out a few more inches

we sit in the family area and I dont see a problem with the scoreboard at all. it shows the score. which im sure i could have seen from the ponte end it showed the players pics, which again I'm sure i could have seen clearly from the ponte end Not sure what everyone else wants. If the score board had been 10m square the score would have still been 2-0 and the same players would have been in he squad. Please don't go on about how we are losing thousands in advertising revenue that we could make from a huge scoreboard. If I had a business I would rather have the ad at the side of the scoreboard than one on it. some people just love to moan
If it was bigger and they started putting up latest scores again it would be good. Jim Johnston now that's a guy who knows how to create a piece of music for any occasion.
Did you go on Tuesday night? They made quite significant changes to it between the two games. What was displayed on tuesday honestly could not be read from the other half of the pitch.
I wonder if it's anything to do with the state of the art facilities in the concourses, the BIG TVs they have down there and the TV channel that they own to show everything to fans after games instead. I'd quite happily swap our scoreboard for a pegboard if we got all the above in return
Have you ever been to a ground that use it to its full potential and gee up the crowd before hand with emotional videos from last games, players etc? Brighton for example? Or Man City when they do their lights out? It can completely change the pre match atmosphere. Our atmosphere didn't need it today but it will in midweek. I
To be honest I go to the games to watch the match not the score board. The Ponte end today was half full 5 minutes before kick off so not sure how much use the score board would have been. I just think its a load of fuss over nothing. Fans asked for a new scoreboard that wasn't embarrassing with missing letters and got one. After every home game this season look at our opponents forums and I bet there isn't one comment from their fans talking about how poor or small our scoreboard is, because no one fecking cares
State of the art facilities - been to either ground recently? I've attended both in the last 12 months -What are super facilties you speak off ? Liverpool have free wi fi which is a bonus - apart from a lick of paint there's not much difference
We had all the sponsors displayed on the board today - would that not have made us money? What else are these boards supposed to do make money?
Rotherham have a scoreboard at the away end which isn't that big and a big TV at the other end to show the line-ups and replays, they haven't got that much money so why couldn't we do something similar?
Spot on. I was sat in east upper and it looked a massive improvement to me. People moaning for the sake of it. Also, thoroughly enjoyed watching the leicester game before kick off on the screens downstairs. And I guess beating Derby 2-0 on our first home game back in the champ wasn't bad either.
I could always see a lot more on the old board so something must have changed. Only thing I miss is the time though. I can usually remember the score
