Company's like that you are paying for the name safe style they just use sub contract fitters so luck of the draw if you get a decent job.
Had a bad experience with them about ten years ago. They were on the street doing another house and cold called to see if we wanted a quote, salesmen were in our house from 6pm to 10pm literally were not going to go anywhere without us signing. Told them to do one as wasn't being pressured and put a complaint in the next day. A few days later area manager knocked on the door to apologize and gave us a £1500 discount on what we had been quoted which was a steel. Other than that the fitters were great left no mess and all done and dusted in a day Sent from my X5pro using Tapatalk
My best mate fits Windows, he owns a joinery/building maintenance company. He did my window in my garage conversion, patio doors and front door and was more than happy, he will source the doors and windows for you aswell from a local company he uses. Would you like his details?
That was the only drawback as stated above - bloke was there for hours when he came round - fitters were similar though - didn't stop working , tidy and work completed very quickly
Had same experience. Salesman basically refused to leave our house until we signed. Needless to say he got thrown out. He only came to give us a quote not for us to sign on the dotted line. We then used a local company to do Windows. End of day they all use same stuff
Sheffield window company - they come round to measure up, leave then post you a quote. No further contact unless you want to go ahead. Can't recommend highly enough.
Bloke from Safestyle was alright ,no flannel , didn't need to put a clock on him ,measured up quoted done and dusted in 30 minutes . As a rule I give sales people 10 minutes pitch time . Only had to cut one bloke off in full flow this time , local firm , didn't get to give a quote 3 'buddies' and a 'pal ' and he was out the door
whoever you go with make sure they are MTC compliant and will register your installation with one of the certification schemes (Assure / Fensa etc)
Can't believe anyone would use Safe Style, must have money to burn. Loads of company's out there that would cut Safe style quote in half. I should know what I'm talking about, I used to fit for them 10 years ago.
You'll knock off another big chunk of money if you know a good window fitter and no I'm not touting for work, I'm retired.
