Who would you want to replace Mawson

    If the worst comes to the worst and we sell our premier centre back what would you like the club to do.

    Go lower league and try and match someone with similar attributes (Ability to play from the back....) or would you like to see a loan in from the premier league? Or go away from the plan and get a decent defender in thats not great on the ball.

    A decent defender that's not good on the ball. I don't think Hecky has 'not good on the ball' on his list of requirements. I think Long will be his replacement.

    I know it doesn't mean much, but from what I've seen of Angus in the warm ups he can really ping a ball. Torquay fans reports seem to suggest he's similar to AM.

    Anyway how about a loan back clause if he does go to a prem side?

    He is quality it's inevitable he will go unless we got promoted this season and we reject all offers in this window and Jan which is unlikely. Long could be his replacement but I wouldn't mind us going lower leaguess and bringing another quality up and coming player to oakwell. I trust hecky and the board to recruit the right player to fit the mould.

    Think it's a interesting one.

    Reece Burke, for me he's a loanee the club should be going out for. Doesn't matter about Alfie at all.

    I can't think of a centre back off the top of my head but i'm sure the club are aware of these players

    I'd play Roberts at the side of Roberts. Roberts in the nets and both full backs.
    In fact we all want a team of Marc Roberts.

    I wonder if there are any unknown Dutch centre half's out there like an Arjan de Zeeuw mk2? What a find that was, almost 21 years ago.
