Aye good luck to him it's a good (and brave) move. Though he will forever be known as rib noodles the second to me now.
Matt Goodwin left over the summer, not sure where he's gone. Hadn't noticed any problems on the site but that might say more about my grammatical prowess. I have thought some of the social media posts have been more upbeat but I kinda liked that. I have also noticed there's been more and better video content. Like the getting to know videos etc. Be a sad day if they brought Rib Noodles back though.
I'm quite liking the output at the moment. I find it engaging. I like the way the reports are written as though the writer is excited, leave the neutral stuff to the papers. The videos are a bit cheesy, but fun all the same. Even the program has fans writing for it now. I say a big well done for involving folk.
I haven't actually noticed any errors on the site myself to be honest but I thought I'd join in. Does anybody know what happened to the noodle since he left?
Yeah the programme standard has definitely gone down hill. Did you see that one on Preedy's grave. Terrible
Also think the club are doing a good job of promoting the great start we've made to the season on social media in the hope of getting more down at Oakwell or to get those that have paid on the day to take up this offer.
I've just had a thought. Before the next home game they should get a few big posters made advertising the season ticket offer and put them up outside each pay on the gate turnstyle
And If you can't blow your own trumpet your in the wrong game. Everything about the place is positive at the moment. Long may it continue
Ha Ha Ha I actually thought I'd got away with that one with my pseudonym. Most folk think Norbert is my real name :-D
Positive momentum is massive. We haven't the riches of the rest. But we can make up in other areas, in spades. It's far too easy to sit back and criticise or piss take. Constructive criticism, ideas, feedback - essential to any business or organisation. Once upon a time folk whinged at the lack of output online. Soon, folk will whinge there's too much. But we need to engage to survive. Again, we're limited financially. But we are far from that in terms of a community. There's nothing like Barnsley FC when it's united like it is right now. Look at Oakwell over the last week. Atmosphere is on point. We've come a long way since Patrick's health improved. Make no mistake, his re-involvement has been huge. Is everything perfect? Is it chuff. Will it ever be? Will it chuff. But at least do your own bit and appreciate others are doing theirs. I see absolutely nothing to be gained in negativity.
Maybe. I got a text about the offer as well so they're getting it out there (although I've got a season ticket but I guess the idea is that you persuade your.mate that's come with you and paid)
Customers are always entitled to air their views & I have been very critical of the club, especially last season when the commentary team were given the shove in favour of Radio DeeDah. It is easier to be positive when the team is performing like it is at the moment. That kind of performance is only possible when things behind the scenes are working to plan. To have our chairman doing frank interviews on Player & one of our own now joining the club's ranks I think are very positive moves. Bloody hell, we even have the new scoreboard. OK it could be bigger, it could have been 3D, what the hell, we have one. Patrick's wry comments about the old one made me chuckle. I'm enjoying every minute of things at the moment & see no reason why things cannot get better & better. Good luck Mr White in your new role. I'm sure you'll make a difference. Rome wasn't built in a day, but I'm sure the BBS's loss in "not a podcast", etc will be to the benefit of the club.
Ive noticed the facebook stuff has improved recently, the pride since 1887 video is cracking. I'll never get tired of that darren barnard goal
Yes congrats Whitey. Lets see what pictures you can paint now you have a bigger canvas (and audience!) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
