We are playing with some fight and flair, showing that we can out play teams, match others and stand toe to toe and battle. No complaints at all...but I do think we are missing the finishing of Winnall. Bradshaw has movement, Payne has strength, but they just don't seem to have that outright clinical finish that Sam has.

Payne will get his rewards. I've got a good feeling about him.

Him and Bradshaw need a goal to break the seal.

And to do that they need games. Let's be a little more patient. We've had a good start, we can afford them a little more time.

Had Payne shot an inch closer to the goal in the last 10 minutes, we could have been top of the league.

I think that we need Izzy, so that we can swap like for like , when Kent tires, or visa versa.

You can tell we don't have enough winger as he always as to drop Watkins back when we take Kent off

I fully agree. I like them both and think they contribute well to the overall team.

To be honest Bradshaw really struggled today.

Bradshaw needs a goal asap otherwise the pressure on him is going to increase game after game. For an out and out striker not to score in 5 games(?) is something to be concerned about.

Has Payne scored yet? No yet he's not come under any criticism why don't we just leave the lad alone and let him get on with playing I'm sure the goals will come

Has Payne been selected as our starting striker yet?
Surely you understand more questions are going to be asked the longer Bradshaw goes without scoring?

Of course they are and I'm sure both Hecky and Tom know that but it's hardly constructive if people jump on his back after every game is it, let the lad get on with it without constantly questioning him, as for Payne not been a starting striker that doesn't really mean alot as Payne has generally had the better chances and comes on when it's easier as the opposition are generally more tired but none of us jump on his back, they've all contributed to our pretty decent start to the season and I've got no problem with Payne or Bradshaw not scoring as long as someone else does and we win, I could understand if he's been playing poorly but other than the Northampton match he hasn't and it's often the style we use him in that disadvantages him not his own personal performances.

The only thing Bradshaw has, is his finishing.

Winnall didn't score for 13 games when he arrived & he's done alright. Not worried about Bradshaw - he's shown he can finish. His 2 goals against Hull in pre season came from crosses being whipped in and instinctive finishes - I agree with our owner that our wingers maybe aren't doing this enough at the minute, cutting inside more often than not.

Apologies, he did. He got 2 goals in his first 13 games, not sure where I got that duff info from.

Still, 2 in his first 13 for us in league one and his record stands up pretty well. I think Tom will be fine, he missed chances on the opening day but hasn't had much created for him since - & he's working bloody hard.

Yeah i think hes been abit unlucky, hes not really had many goalscoring chances. High balls into him have not helped him at all and just make him look very ordinary. Maybe a payne/ bradshaw partnership could work.

I cant work out if he's a striker who wants ball to feet, in the air or he wants it in behind to run onto. He's not offered a great deal at all so far apart from running about. So far he looks out of his depth but only time will tell.
