Just listening to a long pre match press with PH. Does anyone really have a problem with replacing with a loan? I'm a massive fan of the system they have in place at Oakwell, It's something I do on FM and have done quite a lot with different clubs over the last few years. League one was perfect in many ways for the system to start because Barnsley as a clue can compete for the best at that level and of course below. It looks like the club have had interest in really one player since the season started. That's understandable with the quality and class of the Footballer. What honestly do people want from the club. Listening to PH, he wants the club to replace like for like. Says it's expensive to get someone in of that quality permanently though. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Keep this about the topic please. Yesterday was embarrassing with the personal stuff about posters.
On FM I sometimes play 7 up front and win 3-1. Just saying. PS I have no idea what or who you are talking about so cannot comment
Thought it was clear who I was talking about. Our premier player. The one that's been wanted all summer. Alfie Mawson
It's something I like to do. I thought i'd through a bit of FM in this thread because the player that I was on about most with this, David Moyes is one of the more public managers that use the game to scout.
If there is a quality loan available say Burke I'd say yes straight away. Same goes for a permanent. It doesn't matter either way though perhaps best to avoid overloading with loans as we have sometimes in the past.
Hopefully the club are looking at Reece Burke already. They might need to be quick with him too, looks like Rotherham are interested.
I have no problem at all with season loans. The speed at which players move on these days, a lad who signs up for a full season on loan is hardly any different to a so-called 'permanent' signing. To me it was short-term loans that brought the system into disrepute. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Fm is brilliant for scouting players. I could name you 5 potential Mawson replacements I would not have before.
Reece Burke started for West Ham in Europe tonight. Will that have an effect on his situation? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Not much. A lot of the younger players get played early on. Elliot Lee started one 12 month ago and scored
I have no issue with a season long loan, it's a change for the better now we cannot lose them if they play well. I think we are more likely to get as good a player of not better than Mawson on a loan. I would like to get a permanent player in if possible. Having said that...I'd rather we kept Mawson!
