    Fortunately and for a change, we do not need the money. Whilst representing a tremendous profit, we need a squad to compete in this league and maybe even challenge at the top. We have no time to replace him now.

    That's true. I'd not sell him for anything like that and hope he signs a new contract with us but he's out of contract next summer and so you can't blame Mick tempting with a seven figure bid. Now if he doubled it with some of that money he's recently made selling an old man to Newcastle we'd have to give it serious thought.

    We couldn't replace what Marley, uniquely, brings to our forward line for £1m with one day to go, so it's a total no-brainer to reject and keep rejecting.

    Hope we get Cole Kerplunk and Morse Code signed asap and then Patrick, Linton and Hecky should just turn their phones off until 11.01pm tomorrow.
