Boo lock em up and throw away key. On a serious note though they must be barnsley fans in disguise everyone knows only Barnsley fans let flares off.
Absolutely stupid.....they should have waited for the wind to change direction, they're getting all their own smoke back
It's a spectacle. And 999 times out of a thousand no one would ever get injured. But would you want to be holding the flare on that one in a thousandth time when it malfunctions or is accidentally mishandled and goes off in someone's face? I wouldn't. Call me an old stick in the mud like but there you go.
A valid point. I believe this has absolutely no place in English football, but in places like Poland, Serbia, etc. it looks magnificent.
The things what I've seen let off at Barnsley games arent flares like they let off in poland ,Serbia ect. They are them smoke cannisters they look tame only way they could hurt anyone is a asthema attack. The flares you see around Europe are more like fireworks.
For me the most impressive fan thing recently has been the Icelandic chant. If we could find something similar it would be great. Something like the Indian wardrums in those old westerns maybe.
Didnt they apparently steal it or take inspiration from Motherwell, when they visited for a European tie?
Not sure. I heard the Wigan fans doing something similar in the away match last day of the season. I thought then it sounded impressive.
It's proper ****, that. What's worse though, is the fact these sorts of things are creeping in over here. State of those 'ultras' at Huddersfield. One of the most embarrassing things I've seen at a game of football. Along with Keith Brown.
Also.....what's with dancing about with yer arms around each other facing away from the pitch?! If I've paid twenty odd quid to get in I want to watch the game not the back of the stand.
