I don't think there's any pre-requisites to call Henderson *****, that's exactly what he is. Precisely what he brings to any team is beyond me. Can't dribble, has next to no vision and chance creation, runs about a bit and then isn't necessarily good at defending. He's okay for a pressing game but then you can train that into almost anyone with intelligence. All of the Barcelona team press and they have more talent in their little toes. Barkley, Drinkwater and Noble are all better.
Jordan Henderson did the work of two men last night.... ....unfortunately they were the Chuckle Brothers.
Sir Alex Ferguson slated him in his autobiography just to wind HT up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not watched it but I didnt think Henderson should play for England again before yesterdays game. I am guessing he performed as well as I expected. No idea how he gets near an England team
I think he's OK. No better than that- but he puts a shift in. I think he will keep his place in the next team. Sam put Ali on to change the system when they went down to 10 men.
No point talking in absolutes like that. He shouldn't play for England until his club form improves. I do wonder how much of the england team is chosen by sponsors and pressure from big clubs, really thought Sam would add something at least a tiny bit different but I don't think a moment of that game last night would have been different with Hodgson in charge.
At the risk of bating Hemsy - if Klopp offered us a swap deal - Henderson for Hourihane J'd be telling him to take his derisory offer elsewhere. I genuinely wouldnt swap. Anyone know if there is any truth in the story that Bournemouth tried to get Conor but when we told them he wasnt for sale took Wilshire on loan - hoping to get Conor for free in the summer
It's been interesting and informative to see the reaction to my honest opinion of Henderson. I hadn't realized how others see a conspiracy theory in anything and everything. And I don't know what trolling means in the forum context. And if that's not enough.............'my dad's bigger than your dad'!
Funny the debate has gone as it has. I thought about posting my thoughts on Jordan Henderson here last night but didn't bother as I thought it would probably turn into goading and point scoring! But seriously, watching Jordan Henderson play for England is like looking at Janice, 46 from Barugh Green on Page Three. All of the attributes are kind of there, things are sort of in the right places, but the quality is nowhere near what we should expect to see. Not in the same stratosphere. I seriously think there's a hair's breadth between him and Hourihane on current form. If you'd never seen Liverpool play and watched the Euros, you'd have identified Joe Allen as the Captain and Henderson as the outcast who can't get a game and was off to Stoke.
