Dropped to the bench, not sure if I agree with this. He should be the first striker on the sheet for me.

This better not be a regular occurence, I can understand if he's just resting him but if Armstrong comes in for anyone its Winnall

Marley will most probably be knackered and in need of a breather with the effort he pits in every game. Big call but, no a bad replacement in Armstrong!

With the way this season has started it has to be that way. Marley has played his way back into our team and consistently delivers when he does.

Hope this doesn't backfire for Heckingbottom, really questionable but let's have faith. COYR

with the attacking options we have, surely it makes sense to rotate and give players breathers. Shows again that hecky not scared to tinker

A big call by Hecky, I don't agree with him but he's the boss and he's getting more right than wrong.

I hope it is just to give him a bit of a breather because he's been outstanding this season and has to be first choice striker.

It's a big call, but looking forward to seeing him on late in the game! They won't know what's hit them.

It's no bad thing to be less predictable when you've got the riches that we have up front. It's likely that Wolves have planned their game based on Marley playing, so this might throw them. Interesting times!

I'm always up for breathers, competition for places etc. etc. That is 100% fine but i'm not sure Winnall or Armstrong have the qualities that Marley brings and he creates chances with his work rate, strength, power and desire.

Not that those two don't have any of these but I think every team, especially with 2 up front needs a Marley type figure for the out and out goalscorer beside him to be able to concentrate on what they are good at.

We aren't talking about someone who never scores or assists either, Marley can do both and has done all season. I'm not saying we are going to lose and it's the worst thing i've ever seen I just think it's a massive risk but one i'm obviously willing to get behind after what Hecky and the team have done for us fans.

    Good luck lads, COYR!

Well you are entitled to your opinion.

We need to trust the coach, and if it the result does not turn out too well then I hope we aren't going to get a load of smart arses who are miles away from the training, the personalities, the niggles and the tactics saying that they knew better.

    Because they don't.

Probably just resting him. Marley will be knackered, Winnall needs minutes on pitch

It's a risk for sure. Winnall would've gone barmy if he'd been left out away at Wolves!

Surprising but it might be a smart move. Chances will be at a premium, Armstrong you would imagine is more clinical, if we can start well and nick a goal or two, knowing that we have Marley Duracell Watkins to come on and run em into the ground later on is a decent idea. Or maybe Watkins is tired and being managed carefully. Whatever the case it's tremendous to be able to leave a top player out and put another top player straight in. Wonderful.

I have never and will never claim to know better because like you say we don't. The only reason I can think of is a rest after Saturday and the sheer amount of work he puts in. I do trust the coach 100%. The last point I would make and this might need to be tin hat time for me, but.... Sam won't sign a new contract, which is his right and I have nothing against him for but, I personally would play him as back up if he's not willing to sign a new deal as we are basically developing him for someone else now really. With Conor it's different because, again, in my opinion Conor is simply undroppable and has been unbelievable for a while now and makes our team tick.

I'd prefer people to give a reasoned reply to this as I know i'm going to get a few that might want to give me stick for this. :)

Your view is a bit prejudiced, even though I am now a CH fan and find it hard to now justify SSW before Armstrong or Bradshaw.

We are no more developing SSW for others than we are CH.

However one of them holds a better hand than the other (in a card rather than overly camp fashion).

Anyway the coach should select the best available to him. Full stop.

Yes but I don't believe Sam would be in our best 11 regardless of contract situation. But again that's my opinion and others have theirs.

Ah well that is just your opinion about SSW, which is generally not popular on here.

Although I happen to share it. Till he scores.
