    Had comments today of:

    "You're bubble will burst eventually".

"You're riding the promotion wave, it won't last - happened to us a few years back".

    Etc, etc, etc, etc...

I can't wait while we beat them, and get the standard - "We should be beating 'bobbins' teams like Barnsley"...

    You Reds!

Not really interested in relegation fodder. They beat Blackburn, but let's be reight, Blackburn would struggle in the Paralympics.

I think the bubble burst on the opening day, didn't it? Got that chastening defeat to Ipswich out of the way and just cracked on with it again. We might well lose to Leeds but it won't make their blinkered fans any less deluded. They need to be picking targets closer to home.

Got a similar thing from a mate who supports them, apparently they'll be 6 points ahead of us by end of October and they'll do us home and away. Got to laugh doubt they'll get another 6 points before the end of October, maybe get through 6 managers at moment

Leeds are clueless from top to bottom. Deluded fans, nut case owner and the players they have brought in roofe 3million.... he was good in league 2. Rob green... Chris woods..... 2.7 million they are relegation fodder. I know loads of leeds fans and even there one way rivalry with man unite has gone quiet because they are so ****.

You need to ask - Where do these Leeds fans come from ?

If they are from Leeds or family is from Leeds like Gretna - then they are great

If they are from Wakefield then the obvious response to them is that they have to support someone cos Wakefield is the only town of its size that hasn't got a team - and the directors at Barnsley need to recognise that fact and make inroads into the town

Now if they are from Barnsley then that's a different matter (same applies to Sheffield clubs) because these are 'deserters' or 'scabs' or whatever you want to call them.
These have abandoned their own town because they are ashamed of it
They are looking to be associated with success at what they perceive as a bigger and more successful club
All that twisted way of thinking goes out of the window when Barnsley is more successful
That is the reason they really HATE IT when their own local club does better than the club they supposedly support

Not always I know some absolute birks from Sheffield and Leeds that support their home town clubs and I know some people from Wakefield that support Leeds that are nice people it just varies person to person it just seems that in Yorkshire were surrounded by clubs with mainly morons for fans

Thing is - I can tolerate those fans that have connections with the team they support
On the other hand any Sheffield or Leeds fan born and bred in Barnsley is a first class lovely person !!! - end of - period - full fooking stop

It was one of the few good things about working there - the Monday mornings after we'd beaten them.

Trust me come and meet some of the Wednesday fans I know you wouldn't be able to tolerate them, horrible people, supporting a horrible club in a horrible city, but like I said it varies on the person, I just don't like Wednesday

Two fantastic cities? I know Barnsley isn't exactly picturesque in some places but my god other than areas like Morley in Leeds and the town centres their pretty crap places, and yet we get it shoved down our throats that Barnsley is a dump and that they're some great big shiny cities full of pretty buildings where everyone wants to live. Why should we make the most of other cities we should be working to improve Barnsley as a place not spending money in other places when they get majority of government funding anyway
