Really pleased with what he offered on the highlights.

Looks a player that offers us something very different in the squad.

Really looking forward to seeing him. It wasn't that the highlights surprised me because it's what I remember from him when he played for the Manchester United u21's at Oakwell a few years ago. He's been at big clubs in the past so I think a season at Oakwell and been at a smaller club will really help him.

He seems more O'brien in style then Vaz Te/ Hammill/ Kent.

Okay. Not a fan of the SPL and Celtic then?

As others have said he will definitely benefit from stepping up in quality to play in the championship. Competitive football every week will certainly improve his game.

 

Not sure about that. O'brien worked hard but often struggled with his final product. If anything he seems a carbon copy of vaz te to me on limited viewing. In the sense that he doesn't look particularly skillfull but he looks strong, fast, powerful and seems to have a great shot.

 

Why I said O'brien and not Vazte was the the latter liked to cut inside. From what i've seen about this guy, likes to get on the outside and will cross the ball. Also liked to help back when the team haven't got the ball.

He gives the club options for me.

 

Barnsley smaller than Celtic?

 

That makes more sense I guess. Not seen enough of him to comment on his work rate. If he puts half the shift in that isgrove did and also continues with assists and goals like we saw yesterday then we are on to a winner.

That aside, Celtic are bigger than barnsley in every way - attendances, finance, trophies.... The championship may be a more competitive league but Celtic are a much more attractive proposition to most players

At this moment in time I would fancy us right now to beat Vameltoc and Rangers.

 

As would i. But why does that make us bigger than celtic? Could we ever attract Brendan Rodgers as manager? Very unlikely. I hate this my club is bigger than yours rubbish but come on, we can't compete with celtic on any level at the present.

 

celtic are huge, so too rangers, in a different stratosphere to us regardless of the competitivness of the league their in. It doesent matter either. They didnt want him, used him as a scapegoat for one bad result. Looks like their loss maybe our gain.... but early days yet.
