Cross contamination, especially if you're from Hoyland. My Dad was armchair Owls. I'm just lucky he never took me to matches.. :)

Anyone who worries about what Leeds fans think, needs to go and watch Leeds. Part penance, part rehab...

The area of Sheffield running from Psalter Lane through Eccleshall Road and up to Ranmoor, Broomhill and Crosspool is absolutely beautiful. Lived in Sheffield for six years and loved it.

Shame about all the bloody students. In Sheffield they are like rats you're never more than 6feet away from one.

So is the areas around Cawthorne, Silkstone, some parts of penistone but yet were told Barnsley is a dump, like I said certain areas are nice but it doesn't make them fantastic cities

Leeds City centre is really nice, if you like that kind of thing. There are some rough parts of Leeds. Morley is not great, but not the worst, but does have a racist element.

I think Sheffield is an absolutely fantastic city. The club scene isn't quite as good as it was ten or fifteen years back, but it's got an excellent array of breweries and associated pubs, brilliant eateries, and live bands that regularly play there. It is also bang on the edge of some absolutely spectacular countryside. The fact that it contains two football teams that we hate doesn't negate any of that, or make Barnsley any less of a cracking town in its own right. Slagging it for the sake of slagging it just smacks of the small town mentality that a lot of city folk stereotype Barnsley folk with.
