After watching today's game I thought winnall was poor what are people thoughts on him starting matches I just think that Watkins and Bradshaw work a lot harder then him to try and win the ball back your thoughts guys

Personally I never thought he'd be good enough for this league.

Fair play to Hecky for sticking with him, and he's earned his chance to prove himself. But for me he's fourth striker at the moment

I agree fair enough he scored 20+ goals last season and we all love him for that but his work off the ball is poor and how did he miss that free header a striker should not miss a free header from there. Watkins and either armstrong or bradshaw to start against Brighton for me.

Love him. Think he's a goalscorer who when he's on a hot streak is good for a goal a game.

However Think Watkins / Armstrong deserve a few games to build up a relationship.

Don't get me wrong I like winnall but I just think other strikers give a bit more to the team then he does

I said the same when I saw the team. I don't think he deserves to be playing ahead of Bradshaw or Armstrong and definitely not Watkins.

Chris took a lot of stick on here for saying he didn't expect pinball to make the step up during the friendlies. He definitely isn't being was after the event, it's been his opinion all along.

Me neither and we've both been given a bit of stick for saying it before a ball had been kicked and i'm not happy I was right either but I really hope he proves us wrong. I won't forget what he did for us last year, especially against Walsall and and even more importantly against Wigan with the nerves to take that Penalty at 1-1 to even give us the chance of the play-offs. He just frustrates the life out of me with his ball control sometimes.

    Same mate.

Bad control, poor decision making particularly outside the box and doesn't work as hard as he used to.

Great League One goalscorer but never fancied him in this league.

Sam missed the first 4 games and has yet to get up to speed. Only matches will do that. Even if he hasn't got it for this league, at least give him a decent opportunity. He needs to start games with Marley, before we start sharpening owt... :)

I've always said that it's better if a striker is missing chances rather than not getting any. Winnall could have scored quite a few already this season. When Bradshaw played in the opening games of the season (except Ipswich), he didn't look like scoring. Winnall always looks like he could pop up at any time

He's a streaky player, and goes on ridiculous scoring runs at times.

All that said on form I'd like to see Bradshaw and Armstrong play together; they looked good together today

I'm not having a go mate, genuinely i'm not this beautiful game is all about opinions but what does Marley have to do in your opinion to deserve to start? For me personally I think he has been our best striker and has 4 assists already with Conor which is a league joint record and also put 2 in himself.

Ah well you have my apologies if indeed you have been in the Winnallskeptic camp.

My own leanings have always been towards being a Doubting Thomas rather than a Papal anointment.

You can check that too though you won't be bothered.

We do not come on here to slate our players.

Winnall is a decent finisher. Given a run of games. S'abart it.

Think he can score goals but his speed, first touch and passing let him down terribly
