I'll rephrases it 99 x out of 100 a striker at this level should score a free header like that the cross was perfect he was under no pressure and he nods it wide I knew from that point it wasn't going to be our day.

think the second goal would have been scored.[/QUOTE]

    Kent
    Winnall x3
    Hammil X 2
    Scowern
    Hourihane
    Roberts
    Bradshaw

    All could have scored yesterday

On another day they will convert those chances

I don't disagree that we had a lot of very good chances - at times we played very well. I was only saying that the two goals we conceded were poor goals to concede. We'll hopefully learn from them.

Completely agree. We played quite well overall. Sometimes you will lose against a better team. I thought today we did. No shame in that as you say we still created a couple of chances against 10 men.

Saying a player could have scored isn't the same as having a clear goalscoring opportunity that is missed. Adam Davies could have scored from a goal kick. We had 1 good opportunity the Winnall header and the Hammill effort at the end of the first half. The goalmouth scramble at the death may or may not count as a clear cut chances depending on your definition.

Okay list them not the players name but the chance you are talking about the minute you are talking about and how you define a chance. I do appreciate I have written words longer than 1 syllable so I appreciate you might not be able to understand. Also 11 is not more than 12 though I appreciate you may not know that

We were punished twice for glaring mistakes which we were unlucky not to get away with..
First one was our corner which we cocked up leaving McDonald & Roberts stranded in their box. Quick breakaway but the ball was going out of play when Davies legged their player up. Lord knows why he didn't dive at his feet with his hands but for some reason he seems afraid to dive at players feet. A shocking penalty which Davies could have caught but because it was so bad he almost dove past it which resulted in him palming it back into play straight back to the taker.

Second one should have been a free-kick to us which the ref missed. At the game I thought it was a stunning strike but having seen it on TV I think Davies's positioning was poor. The ball didn't end up in the top corner as I'd thought but went wide of the goalie's outstretched hand finishing half way up the net.

It was one of those days where the players gave everything but the ball just didn't break for us.

Onwards and upwards - at least it brings us back down to earth.
