Sky sports news this mornin, apparently from The Sun so probably just rehashed lazy journalism......... "Barnsley's success has put them on the target list of an Italian investment group". "Leeds Utd owner Massimo Cellino wants to bring Barnsley No.2 Tommy Wright to Elland road."
Re: Don't think its too much of a stretch club on the crest of a wave attracting loads of good publicity on and off the pitch and known to be for sale. Mansford is at Leeds Cellino dots about all over the fkn place, if its successful he wants it, he's just as likely to sack his manager in the next couple of weeks and start again. Why anybody wants to be anywhere near that bloody club is beyond me.
"Italian investment group" no thank we are in good hands. Unless.it's some billionaire who wants to throw his cash at us it's a no.
In other words. And Italian group of business men have seen how barnsley can buy cheap and sell for millions making a bloody good profit. And they want some of it. **** off Simple.
There's no way in the world I'd want to end up like Watford with a team of Italian loanees, even if it did get us promoted. Really proud that the core of our side is British.
point 1 I can't see Cryne selling to the next Cellino point 2 if Tommy didn't want to follow Little Lee to Bristol I really cant see him following Big Ben to that place
Absolutely with you on that. The only thing that would stop me enjoying watching Barnsley is if we sold our soul for money. If we go up, or even if we don't, as long as we do it with honesty, integrity, a team of hungry grafters then I'll carry on enjoying life like we are at the moment. I just don't understand how people support most of the teams in the premiership now. Absolutely no connection between fans and the club/players.
