£37 is absolutely ridiculous and this is an honest post that we should stand up as a set of fans and actually make a stand on this one and hopefully others may follow or the club (Leeds Utd) do the right thing and lower their match day prices for away fans. I'd love to go to the game and have done in the past but I just can't keep affording to do it anymore and actually feel fleeced no matter what the result at the end. I feel the only way forward in this matter is to make a stand and us fans do something about it. We are a fantastic bunch when we get together as one and hopefully should this happen the media might get some attention and show football that without the fans, it means nothing. Please give me your thoughts on this as I feel that this club (Leeds) only care about one thing and that's money no matter where it comes from. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
I agree and for that reason not been to last few. However, I really torn at the moment as we have such a fantastic team and brilliant manager
It's not just about boycotting mate. It's about making our voices being heard too as fans. Be the first club to stand up to "criminality" in their pricing structure. It's totally wrong. £30 is tops for me too but footy should be about the fans and the match day experience. Watching your team play whoever and enjoying every part of being a football fan. It's not "just because it's leeds". If Villa or Newcastle charge it then it would be of same opinion. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
If our good form continues I'll probley go say if I went Brentford would probley cost that in juice and then ticket. I just begrudge giving that club 37 pounds.
Same here i am torn , 37pounds is too expensive . I work with a load of leeds fans and we was planning on meeting up before and after game for a pint
Would you go to Brentford if the match day price was £37. I love this team and want to watch them as much as we can but I'm finally getting fed up of paying other clubs ridiculous prices just "cos they can" and there's no current law to stop it Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
No I wouldn't and I agree with what you say it's time people took a stand. Think I'm. Just going to leave leeds alone and go Brentford instead looking forward to Brentford. But I could end up changing my mind and doing both.
Lads, I'd be gutted to not go with it being just down the road but I don't take petrol costs into consideration here. It's £37 to watch a game of football. If the team were playing rubbish then it would make it more of a no brained but when will it stop? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Even the leeds concession prices are steep , only consolation is its a cheap fast journey by train away
I won't be going and the only reason is the price but sadly I don't think solidarity is something that can be relied upon where football is concerned.
Leeds have been taking the p#ss for years. I haven't been for years. They won't be getting a penny of mine (again).
I completely agree. There's some people who will pay any amount though, despite the fact that doing so just makes it get more and more expensive for everyone. I wish our club had just refused the tickets.
This year I said £30 was my limit, I went to wolves Tuesday and I'm going to Brighton too which are both £30 so I'm up to the buffers already and I've pretty much committed to going to Leeds for my sins. Like a few others have said I'm totally torn, a suppose some will say stick to your guns but this team is special and I feel I'm missing something if I don't go.....silly really but football has a funny way of gripping you at times. I don't smoke and only drink Saturday's at the football so I see it as my way of wasteful spending (if that makes sense) The guys that stop away purely to price and principles then I totally respect your views and willpower
Only games I have missed for last three seasons have been due to holidays, but I will be missing at Bell-end Road. £37 is simply more than I am willing to pay, and if it is similar price to that at Swillsborough then I shall keep away from there too. I want to add Fulham, Norwich and Cardiff to my list of grounds attended so I could possible go over my self imposed £30 ish limit for those three grounds.
I am definitely in - I have set my limit at £25 so I won't be going to many this season. With the team playing well at the moment its a bit of a kick, and with me working so much at home at the moment I am glad to just get out of the house on a Saturday so miss it when I don't go. But I am sticking to my guns on this one - £37 is just going too far - way too far. I won't be doing Sheffield Wednesday either, which will be a first for me. But I am getting fed up of being ripped off. Something needs to be done. It needs to be published somehow that we want to boycott this game, so at least some people who might otherwise have just paid up may read about it and think twice, otherwise no one will realise that there are a sizeable number of us who are not going for price reasons, they will just accept however many turn up and not give it a second thought.
