Bags & bags of potential. Crossing and technical ability of a premier league player. Strong, quick, tall & possesses that special football intelligence required to play at the very top. Sheer class to set up our goals against Villa & Leeds. Slightly raw and inexperienced but this guy is going to be absolute quality in a few years. I remember when Adam Davies first joined the club. Dropped a few clangers in pre-season and it was all 'he's sh*t, should never play again, I could do better than him.' This went on a fair few months too. Someone do me a favour and bump this post when Cole can walk on water.
There were only one or two posts of criticism for Davies, most could and can see he's a very good keeper with tremendous potential. Cole does look a very good player but he's struggling a bit at full back just now. This doesn't mean he's **** though, far from it.
Massive overeating of Kpekawa. He's shown really poor technical ability so far. Often hoofs it away first touch. Early days but he hasn't had a good start right from his debut as sub to yesterday where he didn't know wether to come or go. The special intelligence is one thing I'm not sure where you've soon as it's his decision making especially that's making him look poor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The main problem with him is that there's aeons of time between his first touch and his second touch. Deserves a chance though, hope he comes good.
This is a fair comment he is struggling defencivly looks decent going forward. Ive not written him off but is he ready for championship football week in week out I'm not sure.
No, I was referring to the 14/15 season. Only when Turnbull got injured did Adam start to receive praise.
This. Also I think it impacts Hammill's game when he doesn't have White behind him and Kpekawa at the moment doesn't provide us with the same zip. Last season Williams provided a Different sort of support for Hammill with his defensive solidity. Cole also seems to struggle positionally and in terms of his decision making. This can all be worked on the cauldron of the Championship isn't perhaps the best place for this work in progress.
Heading the ball across the box for Sam to head in when others would have gone for goal and wasted the chance. Having the ball at the top right corner of the box and whipping right across the face of goal forcing the Defender to score an O.G when others would have ran down the line. There's a difference between hoofing it and trying to pick out a striker with a long pass.
You've given 2 examples but ignored the majority of his mistakes so far. It's glaringly obvious he's struggled especially with decision he literally doesn't know when to come or go both when defending or attacking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yiadom got torn to shreds against Leeds, Villa, Fulham, Brighton & Reading but I don't see such comments coming his way. Looking at all recent goals conceded none of them have come from Cole's side. Once or twice he's stayed on the ball for too long but that's hardly worth the withdrawing of pitchforks, especially from a 20 year old LB.
I've said from day one Yiadom struggles positionally but we're talking about Cole here so why bring Yiadom into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Neither full back had a lot of protection from our wingers today but they aren't ever going to. It's early days and I'm still undecided on Cole, looks a bit like the Nyatanga situation to me i,e a centre back filling in at left back but I could be wrong.
Because Cole is not presently the problem in defence. He may not have the same understanding with Hammill as Aidy just yet but he has not been at fault for any of our goals conceded recently.
straight to the point here. In the future he may be a great player, but at this moment in time defensively he is terrible and not up to the championship.
This is the truth, not sure why there is thread criticising Cole, ALL our problems yesterday came down the right side, Yiadom had his a#ss handed to him by Malone.
