Go 5th by beating Bolton yet still only 4,780 there. On Sky, I know, but I thought they were supposed to be an up an coming club. Or is that just their owner who thinks so?

I imagine Bolton will have took maybe 500 too so just over 4000 home fans. Think it's just the owner who thinks they are up and coming.

 

They've never recovered from being "cheated" by Barnsley. We are their Carlos Tevez scenario.

 

Well he scored another for them the other night so he's still around a 1 in 3 player which is a good record.

They've apparently been 'up and coming' for about 10 years now but never actually arrived anywhere of note. Their bank balance must look very healthy but continually selling the better players before a decent team has been assembled has meant they've not really pushed on properly. Never a well supported club, only a sustained, successful spell in the Championship would see them attract 10,000 gates I would imagine. Their knack for developing excellent players, notably strikers and pretty charasmatic chairman has enhanced their reputation beyond what it should really be.

Not really only player we have sold for money in past 12 months is Mawson and we would have been pretty stupid to turn down Swansea's offer of a rumoured 6 million.
