After a good win today at St Andrews over one of the better teams in the division all people want to type about's me. I won't like that we've won, or the goalscorers and i'm not a fan like the rest of you on here even if he disagrees with you.

I'm not writing a match report so if I leave something out or a players name then i'm not sorry.

He made changes today but after the event the biggest change was the way the team attacked and defended. They really wanted to have control over the centre of the pitch. With Kent infront of Yiadom and Scowen infront of the very athletic Bree we had players that are comtable in the middle of the pitch.

For those that didn't go today it was the great Davies save that really led to Barnsley win today. It was massive looking back and magnificent at the time. We switched off on the left and a loss of consentration almost led to a goal. Yiadom and caught out, Macdonald moved across and then Donalson movede in behind Roberts. lot of small mistakes but when the first goals so important and I heard the % after the Brentford game it costs games.

People will want to talk about a lot tonight on here when they've finished talking about me but people won't talk about Sam Morsy, so I certainly will.

This guys massive to us. I really hope we have a pre-agreed deal for the Egyptian international. People often say they don't like loan players and they don't care and whatever. This guys been massive in us winning games this season. For me today the MOTM. He won't get big amout of goals or assists but so what, he will spot the danger and win back the ball. But when it's needed he will burst with the ball and maybe it was that led to the free kick for the first goal. He's so much better than Scowen in their for me.

We are different away from home. We are less risk heavy which can be a problem at Oakwell. At times we try and outscore teams at home and it doesn't get us anywhere. But we need to get things right at Oakwell and quickly with three out of 5 there.

The minutes applause for Mr Cryne was very good too. All standing together for him was good. One Patrick Cryne. The respect he's got at oakwell's deserved.

I appreciate that you are not writing a match report, but if you are picking out one or two individual players for special mention, then it would seem a bit of a, shall we say, oversight, not to pick out the player who scored 2 of the goals or the player that provided the assist for all 3 of them. Go on, give them some credit, you'll feel better for it.

 

That reads as if it was a highlights package which showed a few throw-ins and the odd goal kick, but missed out the goals.

Top header from Winnall the third, second goal was good header. Hourihane good balls especially the first to put it into a difficult area.

You are right about Morsy. Great attitude to come and wait for a chance and he's got better every game. Hope we can sign him.

 

Bree was caught on his heels ball watching for the chance that Donaldson had. Nice attempt at targeting Roberts though.

They're both learning at this level.

 

Good little summary that Phil. Morsy was my pick for MOM too. Huge performance from him again. And as you say, the save by Davies was a massive part of the win. That goes in, different game perhaps.

People shouldn't assume Brum were poor. They weren't. But Hecky set us up with a plan to beat them and great performances all round executed it.

Don't agree with you on the chance you mention. It was a good Brum move and all of our lads were too hesitant for me. Luckily Davies pulled out the save and Robbo cleared. Bree had a good game but he was left wanting when Davis rattled the post. Left Scowen isolated.

Hourihane had a steady game. But we all know he's a master of set pieces and Super Sam was like Shearer in the air.

Another away win and clean sheet. You're right, we need to be more solid at Oakwell.
