Not true, at least as far as BFC is concerned. I've heard from an extremely reliable source that we're not interested.
I would like us to see somebody who will grow into an even better player. Don't get me wrong , Omar Bogle is a good League 2 striker but he needs to prove it in League 1 for me before he moves to us. If we were gonna sign somebody from that level, I would prefer them a little younger so we can develop them.
For the amount of money it would take to get Bogle (Forest rumoured to have been quoted £1m) I'd rather us put it into the 'New contracts for Conor, Sam, Robbo and Josh and buy Morsy pot' and try to retain some of this club's best players who are already doing well at this level.
If we were interested in Bogle, our track record would suggest that we've a knack for signing players who are inexperienced at the level we're playing at and developing them. He's well on course for his best goalscoring return in a season and it's the first time he's played at that level. Signing someone with a bit of experience at this level may sadly cost us more than tempting someone like Bogle, but obviously I can't see Grimsby letting him go too cheaply either. But we've clearly built some sort of rapport with them, as they've got 2 of our lads on loan (Jackson has formed a good partership with Bogle by all accounts). He's the sort of striker we've all been calling out for, big and powerful, who can hold the ball up well, and it appears he knows where the net is. IF we are interested, I'd back our club to pick the right man. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
Hope not. Don't want us wasting time on non league trash when there are 346 Chelsea 19 year old starlets we could pick from. Sent via Royal Mail and typed up by my Tapatalk byatch
My friend is a Grimsby fan and I was over in London last week so we went to the Crawley Grimsby game. He has sung Bogle's praises and I can see why. I was super impressed with him. He fits the kind of mould were looking for - young, strong, got an eye for goal and a resale value. Not sure about the figures being quoted - but I think he's definitely got the quality to play at a higher level. Check out his goals in YouTube/SkySports vs Crawley - His second goal is a worldy http://www.skysports.com/watch/vide...tions/league-two/10673675/crawley-3-2-grimsby
