Not in Peterborough's squad for second round of FA cup today. Is it an agreement we have based on him returning in January?
I don't see why he should be. He'll be in and around the first team for us during the second part of the season.
Not a go at you mate but i hope that he is nowhere near the first team squad until he proves he wants to fight for his place here.
Totally agree, he needs to earn it. But he's good enough for this league. I'd personally **** him off as he wanted to leave in the summer and not fight for his place but Hecky and the club seems to want to stand by him.
Tbh it's probably as much as they don't have a choice. 500k and a 3yr deal. I honestly doubt they would even get half their money back. He'll have to win the fans over as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I may have missed summat here. But the only place I've read and heard people questioning his desire and bottling of fighting for his place is in here. So is this rumour that's got out of hand and just being repeated because it's been read on here or do we have a link to something article wise that also discusses this apparent problem. Cheers
His daddy got involved and demanded he started even though the team were in outstanding form at the time. Didn't get what he wanted so was shipped out on loan http://otttv.tech/acc/aff.php?aff=107
Here's a quote from the P'borough site when asked how he is doing Can't get in the team. He started off well but his form dipped. I'd expect he'll return to you in the new year.... His wife tweeted just last week..."Can't wait till January I hate Peterborough and I'm never coming back" Says it all.
You just wouldn't would you if your husband was playing for their club? I wonder if they're just a morngy bunch.
He would do well to tell his Dad not to get involved as he's ****ing up his career. Attitude seems off. Talent seems there, but graft and heart and willingness to earn his place missing. If he comes back, humbled, apologises to his team mates for thinking he had a divine right to play instead of them when he's failed at a L1 club, knuckles down, listens to our coaches, improves his game then he may have a future. Otherwise he'll be L2 for his career. His choice really.
It was essentially from the comments Hecky made. He wasn't starting, him and his daddy came in demanding he should be playing and that they wanted him to go out on loan. Hecky told him he didn't want him to go out but daddy and boy insisted. Loan move arranged to MK Dons but daddy rang Peterborough and got him there. For me, he didn't have the belief in his own ability to at the very least give Hecky a headache when he got his chance, which within weeks he would have.
tbf i think the club needs to hold their hands up. got it wrong bringing him in. reading between lines it was tommy doing the chasing. probably a few quid in it for him. hope i'm proved wrong like, but i don't think he's built for barnsley, at all. he's got his dad n their lass in one corner, and god in the other.
Bruce thinks very highly of him. I know Bruce is religious too but hopefully there's more to it than just that.
Bet she can't wait to get back shopping in Peel Square then. "That's a pound luv. Oh, you've got two, that's three pound... err two... err you tell me luv."
Yeah Bruce Dyer. He was posting and tweeting about him quite a bit when we first signed him, saying how great he was. I don't think he has any influence at Barnsley though.
