What the hell's going on? Shelvey's incident was no different to Marley Watkins'. Ok Lansbury makes a meal of it but Shelvey definitely kicked out at him. I think it's a disgrace that Newcastle even appealed Shelvey's card.

This is yet another example of the bigger clubs getting preferential treatment from the FA.

Cos Lansbury is a cheating lovely person. It should be him that gets banned. I think Marley's was harsh myself but as he himself says be gave the ref a decision to make whereas Lansbury cheated to get penalties Nand the players sent off.

Irrelevant; Shelvey kicked out at him, correctly red carded. Yet he's appealed it and got away with it. It stinks.

I don't think there was even a booking in either challenge. Certainly no penalties. Lansbury cheated. The FA saw what everyone else saw.

Watkins was a clear red for a petulant stamp. Shelvey was a clear red for kicking out.

Lnbury should also be punished for simulation.

Shelley's boot caught Lansbury on the back of his leg yet he rolled about holding his b****cks.

It was not a petulant stamp. He had his legs caught and lost balance. Disgraceful decision

Exactly. Now shelvey clearly did kick out at him so deserved the red but lansbury needs action taking against him for faking it too. It's very similar to the rivaldo dive in the world cup. Unsal did deliberately kick the ball at him so deserved a punishment but rivaldo pretended it hit him in the face so also got punished for it retrospectively

He basically admitted it on Twitter. 'i shouldn't have given tge referee a decision to make'. They aren't the words of a man who lost balance and completely accidentally stood n somebody.

Hmm - I am very surprised about the Shelvey one - I thought the decision was a bit harsh as they tangled legs but shelvey clearly kicked out - you could argue he was trying to free himself but I know had that been one of our players no way would an appeal have been sucessful

The Dummett one is fine by me never a penalty never a sending off- would our appeal have been successful I dont know but it was clearly a wrong decision at the time. What I would like to see though is a 6 game ban for Lansbury. He cheated to get opposing players sent off, Forest got 3 points they probably wouldnt have gained had newcastle kept 11 men on the pitch. Id also like to see a ban for Dele Ali for diving to get spurs a pen at the weekend. Its not all the fault of the referee when players are deliberately setting out to cheat and trick the refs and the FA should use video evidence to crack down on the cheats

Agree 100%. If Marley had appealed his card, I bet they would have increased his suspension. To me there is little, if any, difference between the Shelvey and Watkins red cards.

Got no problem with Dummet, the ref clearly got it wrong.

Lansbury and Ali should both have retrospective yellow cards (at the very least).

Kent should appeal his yellow card at Birmingham, the defender trod on his foot causing him to go to ground. Debatable penalty maybe but certainly not simulation.

No you cant so nothing Kent can do about his incorrectly given card. I think the only thing you can do is get a booking changed if the ref booked the wrong player - so had the ref gone over and booked Winnall we could get that moved to Kent had the ref misidentified the culprit

I guess that's an administrative issue, the panel would be sitting for a month if they allowed yellow cards to be appealed....
