Some filthy bowling this morning. Been like this right through his career- can bowl fantastically then also sprays some utter filth.
Still England's best bowler in this series by quite some margin. Maybe he's trying too hard? Lulling the batsmen into a false sense of security? Who knows.
Yep, fair enough, he's the only quality spinner in the side so shoulders a lot of responsibility when they play in Indian subcontinent I guess.
He's ok at getting tail enders out but can't shift the openers . Simple fact is that we haven't got a world class spinner so we've got to go with what we've got .
Filthy ! LOL Never heard any bowling referred to as that. 'cept mine of course. Cafeteria Bertie Basset certainly heard that. But not filthy.
Yeah he's the best of what we've got. More bothered about us relying on a South African debutant to get us runs. How you qualify to play for someone needs looking at across all sports though to be fair.
Cant get my head around the Rugby Union 'Rule' that if you are 'English' but play your club rugby in France you will not be considered to play for England ,but if you are from any random country and have lived and played here for three years you can play for England . I like to think I'm a broad minded bloke but that's just mental . By the way Keaton Jennings is a proper Englishman !.......well he is now he's got a ton .
Not sure what people want from Adil. He's been bowling very well in games. The last was maybe the best he's played for England. He's picked up 18 wickets so far. In a 4 game series in 2012, Swann picked up 20 wickets from 4 games. He picked up the most wickets in that series for England and joint in the series. And more anyone that thinks you can just play in England for 3 years and play for the test teams not true.
Silly Rugby I agree but I can see why it's there because we can't compete with wages so they do it as an incentive not to weaken our own league and to see if people put money before representing their country. It's an horrible sport for people being allowed to play for another country too easily. If rules were stronger Fiji would be one of the best in the world. Whatever level you represent a country at even if it's as early as under 8s that should be their country forever. Jennings was born in South Africa, has a South African father who's coached and played for them and he's represented South Africa himself and only been eligible to play for England for less than the length of time a pregnancy takes.
