I haven't personally but just wondering as the resident German football expert on here what your viewpoint on RB Leipzig is?

Hate them, as does 90% of Germany. It's a stadium I will never visit, even when it's my final Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 stadium to visit. They ripped the heart, soul, tradition and history out of Austria Salzburg, but have become bored with them so now they take all their decent players and use them in Leipzig instead. The whole thing stinks.

Is it a similar type of hatred alot of England has for MK or is it alot more than that, I know the Germans are quite like us in their contempt for plastic clubs

I'd say it's worse than the MK situation. A lot of fans still boycott Leipzig, including the Dortmund ultras who bizarrely travelled to Leipzig but listened to a stream of the match in the old stadium of the team RB took over!

RB approached a few clubs in Germany but all of them refused to entertain the idea, including Fortuna Dusseldorf.

There's a few clubs with an interesting story behind their finances in Germany. You have Bayer Leverkusen and VfL Wolfsburg who are financed by Bayer and VW, but were formed/founded by workers of the companies back in the early 1900's. You also have TSG Hoffenheim who you wouldn't have heard of 10 years ago! They were taken over by a former player and fan who is the CEO for SAP, he has bankrolled them in to being a Bundesliga team, but he isn't throwing 100m at them every season.

I should be at the Union game, it doesn't clash with any of my trips as far as I can tell. Although the way things are going this season, it's nailed on to be a Friday night!

Dusseldorf is the best area for football, as well as Fortuna you have so many teams less than an hour away, at all levels.

Going Friday morning till Tuesday so covered for all days...should get a ticket for the wheelchair section, I'll get in as soon as dates announced ;)

Pre and post match refreshment is usually in the Schlussel on Bolkerstrasse or similar :D

I normally start in Schumachers on Oststrasse, and then head to a regulars bar near the stadium called Schnuffs. We all chip in for a barrel of beer and get "merry" before the game!

I usually take a barrel to the match. ....stored internally ;)

Not been in Schumachers, can you get a wheelchair in and what are the bogs like (all questions I have to ask :D)

I'm pretty sure there is wheelchair access in Schumachers, as for the toilets, they're a good 5 minute walk from the bar :D

Fortuna have a small group of English fans who travel over every week for the games.

We normally avoid the Altstadt before the game as it's easier to get served and quieter in Schumachers.

Did I send you the email address for my contact at Fortuna? Jennifer can help you with your tickets, etc.

No you haven't but I'd appreciate it cheers! Fortunately always managed by going through the disability team who ok it for the ticket office to allow the sale. They have to do that as people try it on as you get one ticket free as a helper and it's at the standing price even though it's in the posh seats.

It does get rammed on match days. Last time in the Schlussel they went through a 200 pint barrel in 10 minutes

Here you go... A load of ultras from different clubs released this rap against RBL

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mbJoDD7uTYs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's obviously in German, but you get the idea!

They're about as popular as ISIS then, must be fun for their away fans. ;)

They're constantly reminded that they're not fans, just customers of an Austrian energy drink :)

It will be a sad day if/when they get in to English football.
