Again, who'd be paying for the admin of this, the majority who voted out?

 

I read it's higher unlikely to happen because the British government would have to agree and May won't because it would infuriate Brexiters.

But why? I can't understand why in any way it would bother anyone who voted Brexit. Brexit still happens, it's just an option for those who would like dual citizenship. You'd have to be blinkered by a hatred of the EU to the point of irrationality to be angered by that.

i think the whole dual citizenship thing is more to cause unrest as it is to look after residents who want the benefits of the eu(free movement and all that) ,the eu politicians were gobsmacked that we voted to leave and its proper galling them,probably even more than scoff

 

Don't be silly, how would a minority pay for that kind of gig?

 

But why would it cause unrest in Britain? It's not linked to giving anyone a right to come here?

 

The minority? EU pays for it. And it'd hardly cost anything anyway.

The EU members. Of which Britain will no longer be.

 

ark,first thing,i wouldnt have a problem with it,but there will be millions(probably) who see it as the meddling eu interfering even down to the last breath..the referendum was to leave the eu,the powers that be in brussels and strasbourg didnt like this and they will try anything to throw a spanner in the works.
I personally dont think it will ever happen,i cant see how some foreign politicians can start handing out dual citizenships,the vote was to leave and thats that.

 

Just seems a common sense solution to me to take the heat out of the issue and start to bring the divisions back together. A compromise to accept that lots of people identify strongly with being European without it affecting Brexit

We could never be at the centre of the EU as we didn't adopt the Euro as a currency . You can't be in the middle of the club making the big decisions when you're excluded as they're not relevant to you .

 

As opposed to the opposite side who were there to draw there thousands of pounds and disrupt everything in the member countries . There is barely an opposition in the European Parliament and that it was one the biggest problems .

 

But thats exactly the point. We *could* have been at the centre and pushing it onwards rather than being dragged behind. An entire generation of politicians have let us down, both domestically and within Europe.

 

They could charge the people who wanted it - our contribution worked out at ~£5.40 each per week, even taking the £350million per week as gospel (which it wasn't). With a discount for those on low income/unemployed.
