I don't think either merit a red card but Hammill's looks worse because he's coming down onto the ball rather than sliding on the ground like Hutchinson.
**** decision IMO went with two feet together to block the ball as other player were ont deck sliding in.
At full speed how can the ref tell? I have watched it numerous times in slow motion and can't tell which is worse. Also why does the ref show the red to the Wednesday player and not Hammill?
Cant even see a yellow in that for Hammill. If anything Hutchinson sliding in is worse as hes on the floor and nolonger in control. Hammills rep is starting to go b4 him with refs. Liability?
Clear red. He's gone in two footed. Can't do that in the current game even if you win the ball. Foolish from hammill. Sent from my Kestrel using Tapatalk
Why did the referee brandish the red card to the wednesday player then send Hammell off. For me two players both going for the ball nowt in it.
stupid ref gives it to hourihane, then must have got call from linesman it was hammill, so then walks over sheepishly and points to him to get off ,if he cant see what player it is , god knows how he saw tackle
Stsy of your feet don't fly in out of control That's what they always say. The Wednesday player flew in hammil stayed on his feet. I've never seen a sending off like that before ever yes if you freeze frame it hammil has both feet an inch off the floor but it's stretching it to say there is anything there. Wednesday player not even booked. So so glad I couldn't go. We seem to play against 12 men most weeks.
I've just watched that about ten times in a row and I have no idea how you can say that Hammill is going in two footed or that it deserves a red. To me he is anticipating the speed and ferocity of the challenge that comes in. I would have booked the wednesday player. That's it.
Also the referee shows the red to the deedah who puts his hands on his head in dismay. That is one of the weirdest sending offs I've ever seen.
I can see why he was sent off but had he not been i'd have seen why too because it wasn't particularly clear either way. If he's gone next month it wouldn't be a surprise. He's probably wondering why he turned down better money elsewhere to bench warm. It's common knowledge he sees an expert for his temper but is it working with the challenge tonight or his tantrum when subbed at Oakwell? We can't afford to have our highest earner chewing up the biggest part of our squad salary bench warming when we aren't that well off to afford that luxary.
