We just need to be clinical in front of goal. Chance after chance last night. It's an area PH needs to look at. PH talks about both boxes and we are a little bit sloppy in both at the moment. I've not read what everyone puts on here I never do but I've not seen it mentioned that the 6/7 minutes that wrapped around that first goal we got sloppy. We seem unable just to take the sting out of the game. Things aren't going for us here, let's keep the ball and when needed play a bit of percentage football. Put in behind the full backs and chace the ball and if we don't win it make it hard for them to get the ball back up the pitch. Any long balls and we should win more than we lose with Roberts at the back. On Roberts I thought off the ball he had a decent game off the ball. We just need someone to dovetail with him and be the ball player at the back. I'm not sure he understands when to pass it short and when to hit the percentage ball yet. I noticed he played Bree a ball last night and it wasnt right. Bree normally doesn't react but he put arms out and then ran away but Davies and Heckingbottom were less forgiving. Sam Morsy. Really like what he brings but anyone concered that he seems to be picking up a yellow card up a game. Now he's not been sent off so far but he puts himself at risk so much. Hammill, You could see he was up for it last night and maybe he was too up for it. On the Red Card. Watched it back a few times and he sees Sam Hutchinson coming at the ball and jumps at the ball. When he does things like that the ref will send him off. We've had some bad descions this season but that wasn't one for me. At Birmingham JB saw the player coming and went to the side and was calm. Maybe Hammill could learn from that. Anyway. Good luck to those going to the Welsh Captital on Saturday. I don't think i'm going so unlikely to be posting on here as i'll have little to add and I don't want to be one of those telling someone at the game he was wrong or whatever. I'm not about that life.
Dig at Roberts. Check Dig at winnall. Check Praise for Bree. Check. Attempt to show you are superior to other supporters. Check This is the easiest game of bingo I've ever played
I don't care about your personal life so no idea why that comment but why bother commenting when you have nothing to add. I don't get what goes from peoples heads at time
Same old SuperTyke......nothing to say except Trolling - check !!! Why does Admin allow such as this type to post.
What do you think of their first goal? It looked like Yiadom did really well to force their winger back but then Kent had switched off allowing their full back too much space to cross. Thoughts?
Point scoring as usuall from super Tyke give the lad a break he has posted a few of his opinions from last night i don't agree with everything Hemsworth Tyke says but I don't go trolling his posts.
I put last night Fonzie that I thought Yiadom should have passed Joao on quicker last night and that included before the goal. It looked to be that CC had set that over load with Yiadom and Kent. They had the extra man in midfield with a wideman that looked to drift in and an attacking full back. Well its Palmer a former midfielder for them. It could have happened 10 plus times in the match. I will get hate for this but he's a good players Joao. People often say we have a young team. Lucas Joao's 23 year old. What we need and LJ's got is talent and ability. I've never really noticed him before that much when watching SW on TV but he's got it all and you can see why he's an international footballer. Bree gave Joao a little bit too much space? but nothing much and when that ball went to him he was going backwards and Roberts had Fletcher and would have cleared it.
He does have a point on this one. HT posts his opinions on the game last night which he is more than entitled to do, but super Tyke as he does with a few posters on here hi jacks the thread and belittles his opinion. It's what spoils it on here at times no need.
I very rarely will say i'm right and that's it. I give an opinion and will try and explain it on here. I was reading the Sheff Wednesday forum on Monday and I saw a post from Whitey and they liked it on there because they didn't agree with him, why they they but it created differences and that's good for a forum. On here the people that will actually post an opinion and get views and comments on the threads are hated on.
The forum would be very boring if we all agreed on everything. I can't make comment on last night as I wasn't there, I'm at every home game but I don't get to too many away games because of work commitments but I like to hear the opinions of people who have likewise with the development teams.
Apart from doing what he's doing, I don't think Hecky needs to be looking at anything particularly. Just because we lost under familiar circumstances at Hillsborough, it doesn't mean we're particlarly "sloppy" in front of goal. Let's not forget in the previous two games we scored 5 goals and despite last night's result we still have a plus goal difference. Our team has got to be best value for money side in the whole division, and points wise a vast improvement on the one Danny Wilson had last time here. I can't understand the need to cross examine every minor detail after each defeat. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I'm not saying that I don't think people should comment if you aren't at the game. It's when someones been to the game and they post an opinion then all that person get's back is the no opinion but utter nonsense often personal or you don't like this player. I don't dislike any player, I don't have an agenda other than Barnsley winning. I don't and won't accept some of the excuses that people come out with.
I agree it's frustrating that we're just getting a bit of bad luck/making the odd mistake in both boxes and that's what's cost us in numerous games. However on the positive side it shows that we're very much competing and indeed outplaying many teams and we are certainly not out of place in this league. And also we saw in the two games prior to last night that when we get it right in both boxes we can be very dangerous indeed. The longer this group stays together in the majority and gains more Championship experience the less frequent those mistakes will be
