    But if Patrick sells the club the new owners would probably ditch Hecky to put their own big name in instead.

    Remember Gudjon Thordasson being replaced with Paul Hart - not quite the same as the Rowett one but quite similar

    Thordarsson was treated terribly. Especially given how good a job he'd done in the circumstances. Cobbled together a team of journeymen, kids etc, and had us in 2nd on Boxing Day I think?

    Correct. Won 2.1 at Hartlepool on boxing day and I was saying how it's the mark of a good team not to have played well but done enough on the day.

    All went pearshaped after that!
