Warmest thoughts. It's a sad day when it happens. Cuddle up to those nearest and dearest and have a drink or two in her memory. My brothers dog died a couple of weeks ago similar age and he's still in a daze.

So sorry to hear that Kev. Dog lovers will know that losing one is heartbreaking and no words will ease the pain. RIP Bella.

All the best mate. I lost my collie/cross in September this year, hit still hurts like hell but it does get better, honest.

Remember the great times you had with her

She'll be waiting on the bridge with mine I bet.

I feel for you. 15 years ago, our Jack Russell called Barnsley (seriously) was in a bad way at 18 years old. She looked miserable. The vet had given her some injections 3 weeks before but they hadn't helped much. She said the poor thing had no quality of life and the kindest thing was to have her put down. She'd been with us before any of the kids so a really important part of the family. I put it off for a couple of weeks as I couldn't deal with having to do it but eventually went to the vets to do the deed with her in her basket in the front of the car. The vet said I could come in and be with her while she gave the injection but I was too upset to cope with that so I sorted out the payment in reception and when I went back in, biting my lip, it was done. I put her back in the car in her basket with her blanket and stroked her and completely fell apart. I cried like a baby all the home and buried her in the garden still sobbing. Dogs ask for nothing but food and approval and give you everything.

Don't know your mindset, mate...but consider replacing her asap.

Just over 4 years ago I lost Sid, I was distraught, borderline depression. A few months later and in despite of me swearing we'd never have another pet, our gert (genuinely concerned about my sanity) brought home Lil. Like a spoilt tw&t I was furious...with her and Lil...the anger lasted a couple of hours, I had a new best mate.

I'll never forget Sid...You'll never forget Bella, but there's magical times ahead, trust me.

At times its difficult to find something to say. But you just want to acknowledge it. And this is one of those times pal.

I'm sure Bella has had a great life mate
