According to this source he's been called up to Ghana's squad for AFCON http://www.footballghana.com/latest...ender-andy-yiadom-receives-second-ghana-call/

Delighted for him, very well deserved. Shame for us but luckily it coincides for us with White's return to fitness but we definitely need to sign at least one, probably two full backs (because I think Kpekawa will play at centre half from now on) in January

Is this the long list or final squad? Good luck to the lad, he's been excellent this season.

Shows that hard work pays off and gets you noticed. Get on Brighton for promotion as won't Newcastle be losing about half a dozen players to this tournament?

Brilliant news for him and us. Shows any prospective signings that we can assist their development.

Great news for him and well deserved. I love to see our lads get a go at international level even if it means it weakens us.

Fantastic news for him and just shows what an excellent job Hecky and his team are doing with player progression which will only help us to recruit.

Been brilliant. Standout player with Robbo for me, given where he came from

Most consistent performer this season. Always 7/10 or above.

Delighted for him. Done a brilliant job this year on his weaker side.

Reckon he could get even better and play in prem in a few seasons.

Was just going to put the same..........every week 7/10 minimum. The other bit I really like is that he has the class to play out from horrible positions or scruffy balls, never flustered........great signing!

That might work in Newcastle's favour though. It might stop Benitez dicking around with rotation.

Mercifully it seems that Aidy White is nearing fitness. The two may coincide. Obviously the trick is to keep White fit.

Congratulations to Andy though. Thoroughly deserved after his performances this season.

Ghana squad not officially announced until 31st December so still speculation although deserves his chance.

Added value if it comes off and he gets game time. If Aidy is ready then what a replacement we have.
