So in summary, praise almighty for Bree.
Condemnation for Roberts, Hourihane and whoever plays with Bree.
We have just had a calander year that has been absolutely unreal. We ain't winning this league, we ain't getting in the play offs. We have a team of non league, league 2 and league 1 players. We are 9th, fecking 9th on the first day of 2017, in the Championship.
    What do you want?

Not quite how you described Birmingham at the time. Birmingham had some good chances before we scored, and we also had a man advantage.

    This is what you said.

    Why can't the team improve?
Why can't the team get in the play offs when the table means something in May?

Black, Pot, Kettle - re-arrange and apply to your protestations about attacks on you.

PS - Your targeting of AY, as well as being irrational, is verging on the dangerously obsessive. He has done nothing to deserve your opprobrium.

Most of us are positive about both AY and JB and are glad we have two good and improving options. It is you that has pushed the line that one is better than the other, so don't be surprised that, often reluctantly, others state their views. Like it or not and for what little it's worth I agree with redrum - AY is a bit ahead at the moment, faster, better at beating people and more defensively sound. I'd prefer to be talking about how good they both are though.

Look at what I posted, look at where our players have come from.
Let them grow in this league, they need to learn. They are babies in terms of football.
You want them promoted immediately and will be throwing your toys out when they're not top 6 in the Premier next season.
You, my friend, are being unrealistic. Enjoy it.

Oh and Yiadom is for me in the running for player of the season. Bree won't get a mention.

If a players doing ok, he's doing ok.

Heckys not going to think, "ooooh, should I play Bree today, just in case he won't be as good next year?"

You don't half come out with some stuff mate. It's too daft to laugh at sometimes.

Bit harsh on Janko. Hes hardly featured this season.

Hard to impress when injured and odd cameos.

There we go again. Opening thread, not too controversial, but one reply, and we are into the same old agenda items.
    Bree fabulous
    Yiadom crap
Janko needs to play (not sure on what basis you have made this judgement, but there it is)
    Roberts to blame
    We need to improve
    Hourihanes to blame
    Etc etc

This is virtually a carbon copy of your Tom Bradshaw thread. Just a different topic title.

No one minds you expressing opinions, but we have to read the same old pre determined agenda.

From now on, when a thread of yours covers the same old ground, I will close it.

Feel free to discuss something new.

Which player are we losing due to them being picked to represent their country for their regions major tournament ?

Not often Barnsley can say that so be proud.....nowt against any player that. Any player outside the top league and not in a big club / city is up against it getting any call up for any country.

Agree with much of what you say.

Personally I've no wish to see the front 2 change. They're scoring and compliment each other well but if there are recovery concerns as you say, then we've the option of Armstrong, or Payne.

Roberts cocked up yesterday. He's admitted that himself, as did Heckingbottom, who also said he was sure he'd learn from it. Did you notice Hourihane firing everyone up when they were walking back to kick off after the penalty?

Mistakes happen at even the highest levels of the game, always have, always will. Barnsley supporters are renowned for letting players who are making repeated basic errors(and we've had plenty of them to pick from in the last few years) know of their views of them. Whilst respecting your views, I didn't hear any particular slagging off of Roberts et al yesterday, and I think it's because we've seen the improvement in him and other team mates over the last 12 months (Approx 30 places in the table of improvement) and appreciate what he brings to the team.

I actually came out of the ground yesterday very happy. A good point given what happened, and I honestly enjoyed the game. Faultless performances by individuals and teams collectively are few and far between. Teams are the sum of their parts. Hourihane's cajoling of the 10 remaining players stood out to me as a rallying call to not throw it away for Robbo. He's done his bit in plenty of other matches and it looked like team mates digging for a colleague who they know is as much responsible for 2016 improvement as any of them.

People do not have to read HT's posts nor respond to them.

They can leave him alone if they wish.

If it's his thread, and he wishes to say something, then why should you deny him the right to free speech?

    Why should you censor him?

That is not fair. Nor should it be for you to decide what should be discussed.

If he came on every other day saying Winnall and Hourihane were world beaters would you censor him?
