No according to Nixon and others (I think Hecky has mentioned it as well) we have agreed a deal to sign him for a fee, from January through May and they can only recall him this window

What, you mean recall him for the duration of the Jan transfer window, then sell him back to us before it shuts?

No we can sign him permanently anytime and it would go through, but Wigan can only recall him from his season long loan in January and then its up to us if we want to trigger the agreement while he's not with us. Personally I think he'll be the first signing of the window and it'll be done before the Blackpool match

Not convinced by that like. Doesn't really stack up to me. If that was the case, we'd have already signed him by now wouldn't we? Hecky had said he wants to sign him and we definitely have the money.

No because the clause wasn't activated while the window opened

    If we did sign him
perm it also frees up a loan slot

I think we were waiting for them to trigger it. I assume we'll need to sort out personal terms, which will no doubt mean higher wages. May as well wait for them to trigger therefore if we have the option anyway. Plus if he got a serious injury we may have been happy for them to recall. Sounded like a win win deal ...

He's not in squad. Moncur on bench.

    Williams and Hammill start.

    Watkins and Winnall on bench.

I would hope that the money for his transfer is already allocated and and in place to transfer to Wigan, if/when they decide to recall him...

No point spending the money and paying improved contract terms(I'm speculating about the terms, obviously) if we can keep him here as a loan player.
