I realise most of you will have been celebrating our fine result tonight. But did anyone see Venus make an appearance in the night sky tonight? PS I am assuming you see the same moon and stars as I do. LOL
errrm its always there maybe not as bright but always there.... its the very first you see before the stars begin to appear.
Not a star . Jupiter If you look, it doesn't twinkle. Stars emit light from a point source and are affected by the earth's atmosphere. Planets are more of a disc with the light coming in from a broader angle.
Above the moon at about 5-to on a clock is Mars. A lot dimmer than Venus but wonderful to see these three objects very close together.
