He's been no where near the first team.. that's all we need to know really. "To bring new players in.. the players on the fringe will be moved on".. Hecky... Move the lad on..
Agree with all of that. I can't understand it either. Life in the Oakwell garden isn't ALL roses, but it still smells pretty good. As for Andy Yiadom, he is starting to look like a player who never wastes the ball. Players find it hard to get it off him and even faced with one right in front of him he has the skill to wrong foot his opponent before recycling the ball to a red shirt. How many players can do that? I liked the look of him right back as far as the Stalybridge match but I never thought he would be THIS good. This African cup nonsense could be disastrous, or it could make him an even better player. He could come back injured or he could learn even more tricks from his team mates than he already has in his locker.
Messi, Ronaldo and some 14 year old from Chelsea. It's just that Hecky is so **** he hasn't signed em yet...
Defensively he's been superb, and he'll be a big miss when he goes to Africa. He doesn't need to overlap, we're scoring goals for fun anyway, nearly 2 on average every game. I'm happy and I wish everyone could be.
It's not as if he stays in his own half either is it? At forest yesterday, he bombed forward in the first half, straight through the middle and won us yet another free kick. Underlap, overlap wombleing free Part of a bang in form reds team is he! Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
He's doing fine just as he is. I'm really struggling to find anything to complain about. If anything, we need to cut down on goals conceded. We're hardly likely to do that by persuading a right footed left back to hurtle down the left wing.
Has AY slept with your lass or summat? If white was to come back into the team v Fulham for me bree drops to the bench and AY keeps his place...just my opinion but I'm probley not alone.
Went yesterday, and I don't think Hamills performance was anything to do with someone else "doing something bad" Hamill was playing towards the corner where I was sitting in the second half, and just kept getting tackled, like he has for the majority of the season. This is not a criticism of Hamill, just stating that he's not having the same joy as last season. Don't try and make Yiadom a scapegoat for him. What was Kents excuse for being so poor yesterday? Shall we blame Bree? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
What's this obsession with full backs overlapping. We have wingers in the side to give us width and cross the ball. Barry Murphy and Phil Chambers would have had a nose bleed if they crossed the half way line.
We're just lucky that HT is able to assess the former Barnet full back without wearing rose tinted specs.
You have had several replies in this thread about Elliot Lee, which you have ignored ... yet you have replied to the comments that enable you to once again criticise Yiadom. Why would you do that? Open a thread about a player that you're not actually interested in talking about?
But modern day Football means the full backs are often the best attacking outlets. Look at the game tonight a left back scored. Fraser pulls the right back in side. Bellerin had to follow him so the left back sprints into the space and he gets the goal. It happens time and time again. Full backs need to attack and help out the wide attacking player to bring it back to my point above. I was looking on here earlier and Malone got in the posters half season team of the year. That will be because he attacks so much and offers so much to Fulham in the oppo's half.
We score nearly 2 goals every game without an attacking full back on the left. I simply can't see what the problem is. I also can't see what all this attacking full back stuff has to do with Elliot Lee, which is what this thread is about.
