Possibly his last game in football I would guess. Shame when it all goes downhill after such a promising start (with us). If he had stayed at Oakwell following relegation from the Premier League he might, just might, have got us back up and increased his stock a bit more. Instead that trip back to Hillsbrough was the start of his downfall.
So we'll be seeing him slobbing round the local parks, White Lightning in hand, picking fights with anyone.... No, don't think so. I'm sure Danny has enough cash in his coffers to see him through the difficult times ahead. Probably more cash than any of us will ever see. As said above, the lure of Hillsborough was the start of his demise.
Another ex-Red Steve Davis also finds himself looking for work this morning.

BREAKING NEWS - Crewe Alexandra confirm that we have parted company with manager Steve Davis. https://t.co/TWu30Fj90m
— Crewe Alexandra F.C. Wilsons last job I expect can't see any other teams going near him now. Had some decent players at Chesterfield too evans, aryibi, Jay o shea. I thought they minght have stood with him like donny have Ferguson and see if he can take them back up but they not in a good way off the pitch either. Danny has made his money in football though I imagine he can live quite comfortable.
All those players have been out injured for a large part of the season though. The problem has been that they have such a small squad. At the start of the season, my cousin , who is a Spirite, said he thought that the first 11 was as good as anything in that league, but they had bugger all to back them up with and nothing to bring in any more players. To top it all they lost the keeper for the whole of this season too. Sorry it has turned out this way for Wilson, but hardly a shock.
I'm not shedding any tears for him because he will have banked plenty of money over the years as both player and manager. It's just a shame that someone who was such an able young manager, and decent man as well, decided to take the cash/better status route that all players and managers do (when he left us for Wednesday). One more year with us could have made all the difference. Instead he was already on the downward slope as soon as he sat down at his new desk at Hillsbrough.
I don't follow chesterfield much the keeper who has been out injured is a decent keeper. I watched their game against united and noticed he wasn't playing so Google it then to check if he had been sold and found out he was injured. When I watched them against united Wilson had aryibi playing as a wing back which was strange unless that was injury related. You thought they may have gave him more time if he has been so unlucky with injurys especially with chesterfields off field problems.
He never achived much after us for Wednesday. Has had more relegations to his cv than promotions I think he must regret that decision leaving us. Still alway have alot of time for Wilson for what he did the 1st time round but should have never come back 2nd spell was terribe.
Danny is still a legend for what he achieved with us first time so it's sad to see him sacked. Morgan also being sacked is very good news. I hope he never works in football again.
Sad news. Danny will for ever be a legend for me. He put together the best team I've seen at Oakwell.
Should've resigned in the summer. Shambles of a club in the **** due to financing a new stadium they can't afford. Good luck to him in whatever he does.
Chesterfield are a basket case and skint . Danny Wilson isn't a magician he can only work with what he's got and if they keep flogging their best players there's only one way they're gonna go . Still a legend in my eyes .
Totally agree with this & have always said it. That said, one of the longest serving managers in recent history. Respect for what he did in his first spell. I was always opposed to him returning. All the best Danny in your future.
