pork talk are banging on about 1m for hourihane. Bad enough losing Winnall but if we sell both to pig scum, im done they can **** right off
If Hourihane goes to them as well for another ridiculously low fee that's me done this season. All the money spent on tickets/travel and what have you, only to dismantle the best team we've had in years for next to ****ing nowt to our local playoff rivals. It would just stink of low ambition and would **** on any chances of a decent finish at this level for the first time in nearly two decades. I could understand if the fees we're in the multi-millions but they aren't. I could understand if we were absolutely skint, but we aren't. I could understand if they were a premier league club and this was a great opportunity for them, but they aren't. In fact they're 4 points above us in the table after scraping another one of their dodgy wins against us. Don't get me wrong I have massive respect and admiration for what Hecky, Cryne and the like have done for this club over the last couple of years, and I don't know who is currently making the decisions like this at board level. But whoever it is they are at risk of tearing all this goodwill this success has brought towards the club and alienating the fans from the club once more
I was for 50 years, but had enough now. This is taking the whatsit and just not having it where two of our biggest assets just given away. I trust that the folk in charge are aware of the damage they have done in 1 day. Unbelievable.
Only me left. Bit of a ****** innit? Are we in blue and white stripes on Saturday? Or did we keep the kit?
That is an excellent post that brings home the fact that many (not me) sacrifice a hell of a lot of time and money following their beloved club up hill and down dale, far and wide. And then they're seemingly facing the prospect of their two best players being sold half way through a season full of promise to their nearest and fiercest rivals. The season's hope ends. It cannot nor will not come to good....
Correct. It's why I am what and where I am. I'm honest. I find it galling that people are threatening to withdraw their support based on rumours of players leaving. Anyone who knows me will know my opinion of that. My job doesn't change that.
It's just mind boggling, nonsensical and upsetting should it happen. Just when you think the club has done a u-turn on their previous polices of selling your best assets on the cheap and openly state we aren't selling our best players, they go and look to do the complete opposite. Trust takes a long time to build up but can be easily destroyed, and I fear this could be the case here. Who, and what will we be able to believe in the future should this go through?
