With what's happened today and what's gonna happen tomorrow, I need a lot more motivation than Omar Bogle. I'm sure he'll be a great player but I feel the club has taken the absolute piss.
He's got that off here. I'll be amazed if it happens. We need to be quick if we are in as if someone else in our league comes in barring 2 we are shot.
We can't compete on wages. All we have is the we will play you and improve you argument and you'll get s good move - see Sam Winnall
We can't or won't? I'm not suggesting we ***** the stones mawson and all the rest of the dosh. But if that added to the increase etc allows us to compete for say 2 seasons then you could theoretically offer higher wages for 2 years. Possibly off the back of that sell assets even higher and the cycle continues. We fail to sell within 2 years cut cloth again at that point. Otherwise what's the point. We have zero chance of ever progressing anywhere other than where we've just come from (eventually)
We need that money to be self sufficient for next 10 to 20 years without someone to underwrite losses anymore.
I meant not selling two of our best players for a tenth of what their worth to a play off rival, a few mile down the road. Never have and never will criticise the policy of the type of players coming in.
So after the words coming put of the club for about 3 or 5 years saying exactly this. We are still not self sufficient. Even now?
Dunno. But if we say lost £2 million a season we've only got say 5 years money to call on. And that assumes we stay at present income levels.
Arr well. At least we might be able to add another season on with today's revelations and have 6 instead. Tongue firmly in cheek. Not at you this pal
Agree he's got it off here, hence the "not sure if repeating others" when he knows full well he is. Grimsby local rag has an interview with their manager today which headlines that they don't need to sell Bogle but then you read the interview in full and to me it comes across as they'll sell him for something north of £1m. It's a seller's market for goalscorers (in most parts of the country!)
