It's never a permanently sorted issue....it's like any business , up and down as conditions change...we made £1,9m in the last Championship season , I would imagine we lost money after relegation untill we got the big wage earners off the books...hopefully this season and the last are more encouraging.
1million pounds here or there in modern day football it's not going to make a confrance team self sufficent. And it won't us especially when we are not safe and relegation will cost 6 million.
Don't get me wrong he mnight be a great signing but we're going to pay over a million pounds for a player who's had half a good season in league one. And we just let sam winnall go for peanuts terrible bussiness
That's a bit confusing. Especially as it was communicated to the fans that we didn't and don't need to sell. Maybe some of us thought that money wise we've been doing well. Certainly on the pitch we have. And now we seem to have Don back in the building
It won't cost £6 million. We will lose at least that in revenues so the only way we can avoid actual losses is by not spending money in a desperate attempt to stay up as we have before.
No they don't because no one is suggesting signing those players. I agree that reality is biting and folk don't like it when they were dreaming on Wembley and promotion. That reality is that we cannot compete in this division financially and ergo that will come home to roost again at some point on the field.
Midfielders like conor arent seen at barnsley very often to sell him and our top goalscorer to wednesday for peanuts is bad bussiness. And if we're already planning for relegation we may aswell not bother.
