Re: Try this by the Lemonheads-Link

Hope he doesn't go until after the Leeds game. He deserves a good send off. Unlike Winnall sloping for at Blackpool

Today's support was tremendous. I unfortunately can't get to many games, but I was so impressed by the wall of noise and chants which were non-stop during the first half.

Deflated a little in the second half by that very unjust penalty decision, but still emotional enough at the final whistle to clap and cheer the lads off the pitch.

Fulham's support was dwarfed by ours - they were reduced to sporadically clapping those plastic air filled tubes, and that was about it.

    Yes exactly Manx :D
Right turn Clyde indeed... great film, great chimp, great memories of getting vhs videos out back in the 79s and 80s!!

Thats why I thought of that song, instead of 'heres to you' lol

Great atmosphere generated by all the fans today but very, very, very (did I say, very) sadly I thought he looked embarrassed at the end which I concluded to mean he may be off. I really hope I'm wrong.

You can here is clear on the video when you know what your listening for, I did actually hear the singing during the game but like someone else posted I presumed it was the Fulham fans as it went on for so long.

Just searched the vid of the game and its clear. I upped it to youtube to put on kodi but its got a would wide block at the moment. Usually takes a couple of days before they allow it

Whats the point though Andy, do we really think Connor (or any other player for that matter) will stay here out of loyalty because we as fans sing about them like that ?
I do genuinely wonder why we bother as fans at times, because players dont show us any loyalty anymore do they.

To those who attended - you were first class today. Non-stop support, so loud and despite the game getting away from us and the poor second half, stayed behind and gave the players and staff a superb send-off. Made me proud to be a Red.

    We need this at Oakwell.

The point of what, singing his name? I suppose even if he does leave he's served us well and been a great player for us. Personally I don't have a problem with players leaving. I would love them to stay but sometimes its impossible. Its letting them go for peanuts that bothers me. No other team in this championship would let connor go for less then 2.5m even with only 6 months on his contract

Well yes, welcome to my world kid lol (thats exactly the sort of thing I would say).
If a player is going and has made it clear he wants to go, then lets try to get as much as possible for him. Nothing wrong with that eh!
Yes it annoys me how little we have asked for and got for players over the years, when you compare what the ridiculous transfer fees are these days.
And another thing that pees me off is we keep making these deals Undisclosed, so whats the point in that ?

As for what I was asking you, I meant whats the point in singing the praises of a player and singing his name etc.. when its clear hes going in the current money grabbing transfer window!!

why wouldn't you thank a player who has entered into Barnsley legend?

It might have had a bit of an impact as the Daily Star today has a small snippet saying he's told Villa and Wendy he's not in an hurry to quit us.

Get it sung tonight and hope he's still here at the weekend because it will sound good on Sky at a packed Oakwell.

Cant believe it's took so long for this song to catch on.

I must have suggested it about 2 year ago.

Hope we'll get to sing it against Leeds.

Still a few Simon and Garfunkel fans in tarn....

I'd say it was more than 20 minutes in total over the whole game.
