I'm sure the powers that be will be trying to improve off the pitch, just as much as they are trying to on the pitch over the next couple of seasons. The club as got better at lots of things over the past two years we've improved all over the place not just on the pitch.
I'm sure that Patrick once said that Winnall wasn't a product of the spreadsheet - it was a Wilson signing on instinct
The strategy works at the level we had set. This level was league one. We now need to re evaluate and re set the strategy. Instead of paying 5k we need to pay 10k. If we can't do that we will end up being relegated again in the next few years. That's life
Some clubs say big money for turds and have them on big wages and long contracts. Long may our way continue, but I'd like to think that if the right player comes along we'd one day spend a bit as oppose to keep selling on. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
If this is only what we have to look forward to - if the directors told us this was their strategy to basically tread water for ever and a day with just occasional flickers of future success - with no long term team building strategy - then I for one would never go near Oakwell ever again. I just hope that Hecky and his staff don't read your post. I consider your post the most depressing and frightening I've ever read on here.
Sorry but without falling out i for one dont agree......i dont care who they are we should never sell to our rivals.....no matter how much noise the player makes...the position in the league at the time was 4 points.....just sends out the wrong message to all concerned.....in my opinion As for winnals agent and the photo release, that just shows a lack of professionalism and respect on both their parts, both should hang their heads in shame.
I can't believe you didn't know that's what the business plan was, Hahahaha, and to suggest Heckingbottom doesn't know this already that's amazing Hahahaha
I'm sure you know full well Nudger that has always been the case in all the years you've been going .... years of treading water , occasionally being relegated and occasionally doing very well ...only the biggest richest clubs are immune from the extremes . Every board wants a long term building strategy but unfortunately football is very unpredictable and a bad spell sets many wanting knee jerk reactions...boards and managers are suddenly under pressure to ditch the plan and spend . Your long term attendance suggests to me that in reality you accept that , as you do not seem to be a fair weather fan .
