You can recall, which has gone in our favour?!

There must be some, I'm just struggling to remember.

More of a failure on the linesman's part this one, but Hendrie's goal v Man U in the FA Cup was pretty good.

I watched Hendrie's again recently, and although I was convinced it was offside for years, now I'm not so sure.

Didn't we get given an extremely dubious goal against Rotherham a few years ago by Trevor Kettle?

At home vs Man City in the promotion season, our penalty was pretty debatable - ball blasted at defender's hand from point-blank range. We'd have won anyway as we were that much better than them, but still......

Can remember playing Burnley in the league cup about 7 or 8 years ago (might have been on sky), Simon Whaley being stood about 5 yards offside and a mishit shot deflecting in off his arse. We won 3-2.

Oh yes. Perhaps the linesman deemed that there was no way we could have been "seeking to gain an advantage" by having Simon Whaley on a football pitch.......

Back in the 1980s I remember - I think it was Steve Cooper jumping to spike a ball down volley ball style with two hands - someone then cracked it in on the volley from outside the area.

Got to be Whaley's bum shot. Other than that its few and far between.

Andy Saville v Leeds mate. John Deehan cracked it in. The thing is, George Courtney proper made up for it in the replay when he failed to send of John McClelland for a professional foul early in the game, and we went on to lose 4-0.

Duggan carrying it in the penalty area before slamming home against Hull away, festive fixture. Mid-late 80's. We won 4-3

During the 1999/2000 season, we beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to a Craig Hignett penalty. The penalty had been given for a foul on Hignett, but it had been a clean tackle with the defender clearly taking the ball.
For some reason, Dickie Bird was asked by the Chronicle if he thought it had been a penalty and Dickie said no. There was then a letter printed in the Chronicle a week later written in an extremely aggressive style, The person was saying it was a penalty as the referee had given it and as he was a cricket umpire Dickie shouldn't have an opinion! The following week, Dickie replied in a letter inviting his opponent round for a cup of tea to discuss the matter!:D

Didn't we have a 'goal' scored against us once when the ref thought the ball hit the post rather than the stanchion in the goal itself - so long ago now that my mind may well be up to its usual tricks

There's the highlights of the 2-5 win over West Ham in the cup in the late 80s on YouTube. We get 2 penalties in that if I remember right. One of them doesn't seem to be given for anything in particular. There's a group of West Ham players just looking at each other bemused.

Yes I can remember both of those incidents. Rambo through on goal, brought down by last man and only a yellow!
